Thought Vossy was a cock tonight! I usually like him as a caller but he was a doggies fan tonight.
You could hear it in his voice when Burton kicked. I thought it was a great compliment by him when he said Cory Parker could be right about only being 1 point in it with 15 to go and dogs were good to go and we had walker/capewell halasima/pompey wing centre pairings with 1 on the bench lol

To those criticizing CHT for his field goal efforts his first one he struck pretty well and his second was only deflected by Mahoney who was never square at marker. DCE and Holmes who are both noted field goal kickers missed some sitters last night.
From what I can see, SJ has kicked 5 field goals in his career. Hardly a lock in.

Considering CHT was not in the NRL last year, came back as a utility, and has never had a career as a starting half, Im willing to let this game slide and see if he can build for the rest of the year. He seems to have a strong bond with the NSW guys, and is EXTREMELY passionate.

This is what I thought. If he didn't stuff himself up we probably get a penalty. Hurting your self always makes it look so much more accidental/incidental and I thoroughly believe it influences the decision
It's should still be classed as careless though. On the front on angle he has eyes on tmm the whole time then turns late for the hit. No need for so much force imo and had time to at least slow his action

Maybe sign a Dylan Brown and make someone into a kicker who can ice drop goals, Taine?
It's actually not that scientific. They all handle the ball as part of their employment. They could all have an extras session and I mean everyone to practice skills outside of their positional ones.

End result is everyone can kick goals. Everyone can kick drop goals. Everyone can pass both ways and while running at pace. Might save $1.2mill a year on buying someone who has practiced something that everyone can do.

Huh? The boss is immune from criticism? Must’ve missed that memo
Not at all, criticism is fine. There were 1 or 2 posters that strongly implied he’s no good as a coach. They were newer posters that I haven’t seen post much elsewhere fwiw but the comments had a few likes on them from memory.

To your credit I do remember you banging on about giving the young guys a go before they were finally selected due to injury and beat the panthers.
But imo I don’t think that’s sustainable week in week out and for long term success during the season webby really would need to unlock and get the veterans to play at their best (that’s my thinking anyway to justify and come up with reasons for his selections)
Also personally I do give webby a lot of leeway due to what he was able to achieve last season, him being new at the job and still learning, the fact even the best coaches in the job currently have had terrible seasons, and mainly as I genuinely believe he’s the best coach for us long term.
