Pick Your Team Bulldogs v Warriors - [Round 18, 2024]

They are getting so cocky over there 😅. I hope they miss the 8 for another year!
tbf we were that way last year. After so many years of being shit, they deserve to have a good year. I think we can all sympathise with that. But the few posters there with half a footy brain know that this is going to be a tough 1-12 game for them at best. Dogs don't have the attack to blow us away. We have the clear edge in the middle, so if it is going to be a scrappy low-scoring affair, I actually favor our chances to win this.

For the record, adding remaining bye points to all teams, we are effectively 10th right now on 21 points (same as Manly), 1 point behind 6th-8th (Dogs/Dolphins/Dragons), 3 points behind 5th (Cowboys), so very much still in the race for the eight.

I tried to do the NRL ladder predictor but it is broken at the moment - not giving some teams bye points, giving others double.

RL Project, has a ladder predictor- Its not as pretty but you can pick the scores entirely rather than preset margins, and the byes actually work out correctly.

My tipping is so shit that I have given up on the forum one, so don't know why anyone would listen to me, but..
• 3 and 4 wins just wont get it done
• 5 wins could get us there, but it would probably be a nervous weekend for R27.
• 6 wins would get us there for sure as I see it, potentially even a home game in week one, depending on other results.

Pretty much exactly what Inruin and Wiz said, and of course it's certainly not breaking news to anyone that we have very little margin for error if we want a sniff of the top 8 lol

There's certain players or teams I despise- that chops and changes but the 2 clubs I've always hated- predating even our entry into the comp- have been the broncos and bulldogs (not quite sure why) but nothing would make me happier than wiping the floor with both of them back-to-back.
Its making me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

Sadly doesn't work like that because we have the benefit of extra games played. Good chance that at least half of the teams in front and behind us will win a game during our bye matches which alters the table further - and not in our favour most likely.

Still in the race, but the incline is a little steeper than this table makes it look.

Relevant for this weekend as all 3 teams follow the same D model I've been led to believe.
Well our D's just have to be bigger and harder for a longer period of time aye?

Yeah I guess there's skews whichever way you look at it, but I'm going with the "hey we are still close" silver lining POV 🤞

I'd be happy as fuck if we we dust the bulldogs. Beating these mugs would make me forgive & forget about the Tits game....I hate bulldogs with a passion. Especially the fans. They're the most delusional , inbred, uneducated, bunch of fuckwits & wahs haters in the NRL.....Ahh, That felt good lol.
Haha I’ve got a soft spot for the Doggies.

There's actually a photo or two of me circa 94 wearing a Bulldogs t shirt 😅 not sure I had ever actually seen a game back then but loved the design hah!

So we are in the de facto top 8 if we beat the dogs and Roosters beat the Dragons….

Cows and Dogs play each other twice as well

I’d watch out for the Titans game, if Sharks lose that they might eventually drop out of top 8, they play the Cows too, and we play Sharkies as our last game

Such a weird season we can see the wooden spoon and 4th at the same time 😂

It’s gonna be one of those seasons where you lose a couple of must win games now and you still get to play another must win game until 2-3 rounds to go, just hoping for a big run home because IMO 6 wins out of 8 might shoot us right to 4-5th, that official table with uneven byes are so misleading (the one posted above is great)
