CHT and TMM couldn't have picked a worse game to both have absolute clanger performances, minus their defence.

Unsure if it was the semi-final intensity of the game that exposed that. But yea we are all well aware of both of their lack of a top tier kicking game, which really got a light shone on it with their attack also being so clunky.

The fact the Dogs half's couldn't expose our patchwork line-up is probably funnier. But they got the two points, so who's really laughing.

Could just rotate them a couple of games each for the rest of the year and still compete, they won’t last 7 games in a row, need to do team tags, youth like SJ and Locke got us into the GF in 2011, the ship has almost sailed this year though, I want youth to have appropriate game time and we can try for a run again next year, with some off season signings with Tohu and SJ $

Just on Halasima - lot of talk about a young SBW.

Had shades of another Sonny to me.

Sonny Fai came in and had that same impact. RIP Sonny.
Agree - having seen a bit of him in Cup (and highlights from juniors), I think that is the best comparison. RIL Sonny.
Halasima is just a natural born athlete - even just looking at the first run and his break, his strength and balance to keep his hips and shoulders square the whole time (plus, as someone else noted, ball in two hands during the break). Wow. He'll be something this kid.

However, let's not get ahead of ourselves - he might (and probably will) see more time down in Cup this year and his next NRL appearance may not be as spectacular as that... he is 18, and Webby + Cappy have his development front of mind (as they do with the other juniors). They want to build a club with long term success, not just a few wins here and there. That being said, if Webby thinks they can play a role in us winning these last 7 games, then I'm sure he'll have them ready for that!

On replay that TMM incident is not that bad. TMM kind of runs into salmon but salmon is deff guilty of turning the shoulder nd being careless as both players suffer a head clash.

NRL Physio is reporting Salmon broke his jaw and is out for 4 - 5 weeks.

We were never getting a pen while he was spitting blood and teeth everywhere

While being aware that every club would surely feel like they cop a raw deal every week, I’m a bit perplexed as to some of the calls we’re getting over multiple grades. I thought TMM had clearly shifted the ball on in the situation you’re talking about, Salman probably committed and no way to pull out but failed a duty of care and hit TMM in the head. Not that he should be treated any differently but surely a guy that’s had a brain bleed in the past should be able to feel like the nrl is doing all they can to protect him. The problem I’ve got is consistency. You could see that in another game and it’s called for foul play, you know when Aussie commentators are blowing up that there’s something dubious in the call. A few weeks ago RTS was sin binned for a tip tackle that Koriasau did the following weekend also with a sin bin admittedly, the difference was Annersley in the RTS offence first said the ref got the call correct, then the following weekend in the Koriasau tip tackle that was the same Annersley says Koriasau was wronged and shouldn’t have been sin binned. Then there’s the nsw cup incident last week that was one of the poorest refereeing displays I’ve seen. The way Warriors players were treated by the referee in facing a guy attacking a player with headbutts and punching was quite unbelievable, and the fact we have two binned to their one after the incident is fascinating. Worse again that the player only got 3 weeks suspension. They’ve said since that they got it wrong with binning Laban but like with all the apologies they have to issue, it’s too late if the game is gone because of the mistakes which it didn’t come to in that game thankfully. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate Webster building a resilience in not addressing poor calls and the potential of players attitudes to suffer, but I think we’ve had some shockers lately

I'll leave this here for those that think it "wasnt that bad."

Look where the fucking ball is. That's a shocker of a tackle and an even worse attempt at officiating. The Warriors need to be asking the NRL very publicly why their players aren't afforded the same protection as the other clubs. There are numerous examples over the years they could cite.

The mental gymnastics that go on inside the head of the clown Annesely must be bloody exhausting.

One can only assume that it's Annesley's job to protect the "product" and not the players. The glaring inconsistencies (let's call it what it is, favouritisms) from Ref's, the Bunker and the Judiciary do more to tarnish the reputation of the game than any coach or player criticizing the officiating in a press conference could every do and a Monday morning "Sorry they got it wrong (again)" doesn't pay out two competition points.

The likely outcome if it was Jerome Hughes hit with the same tackle by a Warrior would have been on Report then sent off (it's been reviewed and it was late and high) and a minimum two week suspension with an early guilty plea.

It's the same old story with that non call.

Montoya smashes Tracey early, and while I thought it was a fair shot they call it back three plays later as high.

TMM gets cleaned up late and high, and it's cleared by the ref. Id like Ainsley to explain how one ref can call those two plays so differently.

Its blatantly bais. Where's that Vodafone chap to call this kinda shit out when you need him...

Last week TMM and CHT were the future of the club and the second coming of Jesus; now they’ll never ever be a good enough pairing. The fickle fan base will never cease to amaze me.

Halasima’s mum said to play with honour and have fun - she should be so proud.

Boys left it all on the field, the bye is well needed, the seasons not over yet and that the type of hearty performance we can build upon - fantastic line D, showing up for one another, desperation. Love it.
