NRL Physio is reporting Salmon broke his jaw and is out for 4 - 5 weeks.

We were never getting a pen while he was spitting blood and teeth everywhere
This is what I thought. If he didn't stuff himself up we probably get a penalty. Hurting your self always makes it look so much more accidental/incidental and I thoroughly believe it influences the decision

The fact that the late hit to TMM was not even a penalty is embarrassing to the game itself.

Rts is binned for a moderate lifting tackle.

Cht binned for dropping a ball on someone’s head

Liam Martin binned for rubbing someone’s head

But salmon isn’t even penalised for flying out of the line, hitting TMM late AND in the head, consequently breaking his jaw in two places.

The game has turned into a fucking joke & the inconsistencies of referring is to blame. Even the greats of the game have had enough.

Just stepping to the side a bit, I have a theory that it's always better to kick off (first) in golden point. Often the receiving team starts their set on 10-15m and can't get out of their half. Unless they put in a reslly great kick and chase on the 5th the second team will likely start their set on the 20-25m and might have first real opportunity to take an FG attempt.

This happened on both kick offs today where the kicking off team started their sets further up the field than the receiving team did.

As far as I'm concerned, we learnt two things yesterday.
1. We are a better side than the dogs. The game started off as an arm wrestle, but we showcased our physical dominance in the first half and broke down their defensive wall twice in a 10 minute period when we controlled the ball for all but two sets. If not for the injuries, we would have worn them down and won this game comfortably imo. We won all the main attacking stats, except the one that counts-the scoreboard.
2. Dogs are shit- they are lucky their defense is alright because their attack is barely first grade standard. How they couldn't crack us for a try when we were literally moving props to the centre/wing and playing lussick in the front row is really an indictment on their attack. They won't last past week 1 of finals if that's the best they've got.

Bulldogs fans love the non call though and are calling us the biggest whinging fanbase in the comp

Could be right here. I recall DCE last night electing to kickoff first.

Watching it I kinda felt the same way initially, but then I think what would it achieve really? Wouldn’t change the result. Wouldn’t change the reffing we get next week.

I just think he’s apathetic to it as he doesn’t want to give it energy which I’m slowly coming around to as well
Also this was the exact thing webby was praised for on here last year, not giving the boys excuses and not to leave it in the refs hands, building resilience etc. Funny how fast people change opinions especially when coaching from their keyboards. Can probably pull similar comments praising our halves from the last couple of wins and not wanting sj anywhere near the team.
Players I somewhat understand but posters turning on webby really grinds my gears. I even saw a poster implying he’s not the right coach for us.

Even happened in the same game with Kikau on report for a trip but no penalty.
A trip constitutes foul play which entitles the affected team to be awarded a penalty no? I recall Jaxon Purdue getting binned for his trip last week, all be it an attempt to deny the opposition scoring. It shouldn’t technically matter though as they are both cases of foul play…..

We showed great intensity last night which will be needed in the home run to the finals.
13 wins is usually the magic number to make the play offs, that means we need to win 6 of the last 7.
Raiders
Tigers
Eels
Dolphins
Sea Eagles
Bulldogs
Sharks.
🤞🏾
