At his best he carried the team and the responsibility of the team. That wasn't being a one man show in my opinion. It was trying to carry the club to success
You’re just proving my point
He didn’t make anyone better
Just carried the team like a one man band.. CNK isn’t carrying the team key word team
Last night he looked great but didn’t help with making anyone else better

I understand that. But

All I'm saying is that historically we managed him badly and he became captain and one man band because lots of players were playing lazy and shit.

Now about your point. I agree in the present tense.

About making others better...... He has it in him but his head space is a mess in regard to one man banding.

He could refine his injections into the backline as adding an extra player to create overlaps. Link player. Line breaker by running gaps instead of stepping. That's what he's not doing unfortunately which aligns with your point

SK made him captain
SK built a pillar around him
Blame SK and RTS lack of intuition in understanding this is a team sport

This is why he failed so miserably in rugby. AB could see it clear as night and day.

Yeah I wondered about this too.
Go and look at Charnz stats prior to signing with us last year - his ball play was non existent, very similar level to RTS when he was here last time. Then he comes into a well coached team and his stats increase to a good level as a full back.

RTS hasn't trained at FB this year, so body shape is probably a bit off, yet he's still killing it at full back. I guess none of us know, but I'd be willing to bet that with a whole offseason to get right, I think he'd be able to offer a very similar level to Charnz ball playing, plus the individual brilliance he brings. Is it not worth a look at least?

Imo Charnz on the wing is an upgrade over Montoya too, so I mean I'd be happy with that. Then Ali, Berry and Pomps in the centres.

And while I am on a rant

People are fooled by individual stats. Look at Rogs individual stats. Looks amazing. They all do. But collectively as at team we played below average.

RTS for almost 300m. Incredible! But don’t forget that’s WITH THE BALL. It would be interesting to track total meters ran with and without the ball. Guarantee you the forwards total meters covered would shit all over the backs… 😉

Who scored the game A???

@sup42 must be back 😂

Warriors are getting worse every week.

As much as we used to enjoy the excitement of Warriors teams in the past it was frustrating as it wasn't consistent. The last few years we haven't been great to watch.

Last year was an exception. Firstly due to winning and secondly as it looked like they were playing to a plan.

Watching around the competition though a lot of the other sides move the ball with speed and can create numbers and score from range.

I've been thinking for a while we need to make some changes. It seems like we a behind where the game is going as the other sides are opening up a bit.

As I type this the Storm go the length of the field off back to back plays and score.
That the side has been racked with injuries doesn't help.
Missed the game glad I watched the mini match. What was glaring was Egan’s lack of speed getting to the play the ball and his passing was horrible at times. Slow and a lot of balls down near the halves boot laces.

Since that Souths game in which he was talked as an Origin bolter his form has been average. I know in a Ford bashed but even in the mini match he kept running into Dylan Walker. Leka for 9 mins🤷‍♀️

Glad to see the smile on CHT’s face, everyone can kick goals behind a keyboard & a dozen beers deep. Perspective we had CNK, Rocco, Montoya, Tauapiki, Pompey, Metcalf, SJ, Tohu and co. missing.

Fox said before the game the 6 close wins but 4 in particular, Storm, Titans, Dogs & Raiders, would have had us sitting in the top 4. SJ, CNK, Tohu and a few others have been below par on last season form.

Lately they have been playing with effort with no tesult. Last night was effort with a result. Be posotive, there is plenty to celebrate. Amazing what a win can do as far as form goes.
Upwards and onwards. We have some injured players returning including SJ and Metcalfe, to add some experience and spark.

Yep. Mismanaged. Roosters got value out of him. He was well used at the end of the backline as a finisher. His fullback prowess pre rugby was as a link man. He's not like that now. Lacks speed.

To get the most and best possible out of him needs to be achieved through psychology. Rewiring his ball killing space killing mind set. I'm not sure it's worth the investment.

I think it’s too late with RTS

Time waits for no man. Pull the trigger and leave him as a standby player. Time to retire Egan.
Yeah don’t get me started on Egan… 😂

I’m so bloody disappointed with this team and season….

Webby has also burnt some of these players to the ground with over playing them… I hope he learns from these mistakes

I regard RTS at fullback similarly to Joey Manu - big metres, lots of tackle breaks, superficially they look great, amazing stats, however they are hogging the ball & the team is ultimately worse off.

The cost of their wonderful stats are counter productive to the team. As in like have a turbo in a car without a waste gate thingo sending the excess air out instead of sending it all in and wrecking the motor.

Fuck me sideways - I'd hate to be on here when we lose!

It actually felt a bit like a loss.

You're just hangry... no big mac

Let’s compare RTS vs Walsh

What makes Walsh so good isn’t just the mascara on his face

1. Hes got blistering speed
2. The ability to link in seamlessly with the back line to
3 offload to the wing with a skip pass
4. A fantastic kicker

Offset against being a useless defender..

RTS had speed but that’s gone now. He’s not outrunning anyone to the try line …

Walsh will lose his speed but 2. To 4. Will still be there and I think his defence will improve over time

RTS used to be a terrible defender also

Ok I think I’m done arguing with myself on RTS 😂

RTS has got his limitations, but CNK has been pretty ordinary most of the season. He’s our most threatening runner in a backline that lacks potentcy. He also might be a bit rusty sitting at third on the fullback depth chart.

I think he’s the best option certainly for the rest of the season.
