Gee, I thought CNK was absolute immense when he came into the team after his early season injury. I expected him to be rusty and he hit the ground running. He is so direct, so hard to handle, safe, and is ultra competitive. I also think he is getting better at setting up those outside of him. He's not super quick, or super elusive, but he is someone that represents us well always.

He sure looked buggered in the 2-3 weeks before his second injury, and I think that is giving some people recency bias.

I think we really miss a fresh and firing CNK. I think he would have been a nightmare for the Tigers soft middle, and he would have given his outsides more space than they got from RTS. That hospital pass to MGT was hilarious - took his space and then blew up at the mistake.

I've been off the RTS train for years, but his last few games have shown that he might be pretty good on the wing, and he is an absolute godsend as a third-choice fullback.

Fuck me sideways - I'd hate to be on here when we lose!
I agree with you I don't understand the dissapointment in this thread. We have been playing at this inconsistent standard all year long. I don't know how our inconsistent standard of play stood out more last night compared to any other game we have played.
In general I don't know how the general population thinks and have great difficulty predicting how people will react to things.

My personal take on it is that I agree with Benji. RTS saved two certain tries had he not done so we probably would have lost. That aside I thought we were the far and away better team and deserved to win and we did win. Congrats to all concerned.
What really is the issue? Is the issue everyone else puts on 50 points against them and we only scored 28? Why is that a surprise our red zone conversion rate has been poor all year.

The game is fast and in play longer than the old days when kicking out was a viable end of set option. Hence we are seeing injuries more frequently in more players. I think more subs would reduce injuries even though it is open to manipulation.

We won which is great. There have simply been so many contributing variables that made the win include a few sour notes. But yes a win is good

Thing is, they put their muns where their mouth is. Respect! I've done it before but haven't posted it because of the backlash in Any/All forums. I'm a NZWarrior Fan/Tragic till the end!! It ain't the same results as last year but we Still have a Chance. Bet responsibly, love you all you guys :giggle:
To use the famous words of Wrighty Wrighty, I'm new to rugby league but my brother grew up playing it. The thought wouldn't even cross his mind to bet against the team he supports. In his words, he loses either way. Worst he would do is not put the Warriors game in his multi if he didn't believe they could win.

OK. It was better than what I was expecting if that helps. The team have been in dark places. They did well to play without dropped lips.
Yes that's a good summation. Our family inability to win other games against the likes of The Titans, Dragons and perhaps another game or two were my reasons for not celebrating as much. Dark places has been more consistent than our performances this season. But to be clear. I'm glad we won.

I once watched two intellectually handicap women have a punch up. When it started I got up to intervene but in that time one of them got a good punch in and the other went down. There were a few of them and they all jumped in to settle it down. The one who won was just going batshit crazy yelling shit I couldn't understand. The one who went down was bleeding and in tears. It was just a shitshow. The Tigers game reminded me of that fight. Its like there was no real winner in that fight.

So RTS is an issue now?
Jesus you people are never happy 😁

Yes he was probably out of position for the 2 try saves and got a bit lucky but him and AFB were the difference between a 'comfortable' win and going to the wire with the worst team in the comp.

Does anyone know where I can put some money on 'warriors go 12+ up, ref will call weak penalties and 6 agains to fuck them.' I feel there is money to be made 😁

Halves seriously under performing, everyone else went alright. When AFB shows up we have a top 4 forward pack.
this is what's so disappointing with the 2024 WAH-WAHS... great TOP 8 pack ..but are backs are woeful ...TIGERS game we make huge metres up ...domination in D .. and we just one out attack or look mostly lost passing hoping a gap is going open ...we seem to have no speed on attack outside DWZ....TMM now looks under pressure and far from his panthers/COWs games... maybe CNK into the halves?

Not so much these days but in my Uni days I bet against us most weeks.

A win or cash - never lost once!

Watching other games there are attacking threats that have 10+ tries this season. Typically a barnstorming or super fast second rower; fullback, lock or centre.

They can bust a line and both score points and become a defensive focus opening holes around them.

Our superstars:
Fullback - CNK 4 tries
2nd row - Marata 1 try; Ford 3 tries; Capewell 2 tries;
Lock - Tohu 0 tries; Walker 1 try
Centres - Berry 4 tries; Pompey 2 tries; RTS 4 tries.

Telling our x-factor attacking threat is AFB with 8 tries - almost as much as all our centres combined!! Is this exceptional? There are over 40 players with 8+ tries in the NRL…

DWZ is our leading try scorer with 10 but I think this highlights our attacking averageness all season where nobody in key attacking positions have found attacking form and our set plays haven’t put people in holes.
