Couldn't agree more.

I take it everyone will be screaming for CHT's head just like they were after one bad performance from SJ?

Oh wait....

Think it showed today why we have recruited the likes of Jett Cleary and extended Luke Metcalf.

That was a semi-final intensity today and everyone met the challenge except the halves.

These two have done well coming in and should be selected for the rest of the season.

But, long term there are obvious questions about the best halves pairing.

CHT and TMM lose one game as pairing, by one, in golden point, and it’s all overs for those two?

The Chanel no looker was on galactic levels of stupidity, and the kicking was well off this game, but that’s the first below average game either of them have had this yeah (Excluding TMMs games at 6) imo

As much as it kills me to say it, that may be season ending. Even if we go onto win every single remaining game, we would only just sneak into the 8 (based on last years points distribution on the table). Something I just can’t see happening with the way games are being decided of the back of disastrous refereeing mistakes. Absolute heartbreak man…

I did a ladder predictor during the week that has us 7th with 5 wins from the final 8 games.

Now 5 wins from 7.

It's the most congested table I've ever seen. Season is not over yet

You could tell this was gonna be a golden point from the first 5 mins..I should be a NRL bookie..how can I get into that field of work?

I find that normally the ref calls are in blocks favouring each time. I managed to call the timings perfectly in the broncs game.

This game, ironically was a bit better on that front.

The late tackle was a howler, but really we can't be putting ourselves in the position where that matters.

Losing in golden point always sucks.

If it happens quickly in the first 5 minutes you can write it off that golden point is a lottery.

We had chances and it nearly went the full 10 minutes which makes even harder to take.

Yeah neither have a particularly high ceiling. TMM has done really well this year but has absolutely no long kicking game, which is a bit of a problem when the hooker doesn't have a big boot - leaves it all on the other half ie SJ or CHT.

CHT is basically as I remember during his first stint with the club. Strong runner, good defender....but unlikely to set too many plays up himself. Left foot kick is a bonus but again not someone who can kick a team out of trouble when under the pump.

Definitely not a long term combination.

Tough loss but to be honest I expected the dogs to put it away at any moment with about 30mins to go- the fact they didn’t showed heart considering our adversity with the bench. However a loss is a loss and that makes things pretty tough going forward. In hindsight we really should have taken the FG shot much earlier, we did not look like scoring
Especially after we lost all our outside backs. Thought from then we had to play tight and set for field position and take the one when it was on offer......was screaming for them to take it even 8 minutes out.......even when we did decide to start setting for it i thought they waited way too late in their tackle counts.

We only had one player after our back 3 went down who looked like he had the speed to go from distance or the power to break tackles......and that was the young fella.

Credit to Walker and Capewell tho who filled in manfully out wide. They tried to target Capewell too.....spread it wide on his edge and tried to get around him......he chased them down tho.

There was some messy stuff from our halves and the kicking game generally wasnt great even before we lost all our players to injury, felt for them after that tho cause it wouldve been hard trying to organize some semblence of structure after all those positional changes.

As for Halasima......lovin the potential, we could have ourselves a bonafide game breaker here.......i hope (and they will need to) round out his game with all the off the ball stuff but geez i havent been this excited about a young Warrior backrower since Sonny Fai.........i could put that amazing run of his on loop and watch it all night......brilliant shit.

Worst game they have had as a combo. Both were very strong defensively, TMM owned Kikau a number of times. But the kicking game was off for most of the night. I do wonder the impact of the decision to bring SJ back for the Storm game and the following titans game has had on the halves and the team. Lost momentum and confidence a bit after that after having their best game against the cowboys.

boys have two weeks to lick their wounds and go again. Season isn't over but we probably have to go super close to winning all our games. Our draw is relatively easy, so there is still hope. Halasima reminds me of Talakai. What a beast.

Webby mentioned there were ‘tears’ when responding to the injury situation post match. Not sure which way to take that….

Have to take it at face value. The only thing that matters is winning.

They will be devastated to lose that game.

All the platitudes about pride are just hollow. They ain't sitting in there patting themselves on the back about how proud they are.

They lost.
