The disappointing thing is that it is probably the best game I have watched this season and instead of talking about how good it was, everything is now about a poor call or non call.

One thing I was surprised to learn going to away games in Aus is that pretty much all fans of all teams feel they are picked on more than the other teams, most of them have some far flung reason as to why this is that they’re convinced is true. I try to remember that when we cop a few head scratchers, in many cases there’s no grand conspiracy it just happened to the team we support and being the NZ team there’s an easy excuse for fans, also being the only NZ team it gets a lot more focus in our own market compared to one where there’s multiple teams.
In saying all that there is also some inexcusable calls and it’s hard not to take it personally when it happens to your team, the way the refs ‘manage’ a game and choose when to and when not to enforce rules opens up a massive can of worms.
Was interesting watching Anneslies explanation video- the guy did not believe a word of what he was saying, I know you can’t re award competition points but apologies are worthless at the end of the day

Yeah, if they were that biased they would never have called back the offside play for Burtons try which was a close but correct call. I have to say though that watching a lot of games as a supporter and neutral the Warriors and Raiders do sit at the top of the list of headscratching howlers.

It's exactly this that is making me reconsider my betting strategy, instead of researching a teams form previous results against opposition home and away stats etc I'm simply going to place my bets on who the NRL wants to win.

The TAB usually get it right and I believe more so this year.
Had the Dogs very short and they also have Queensland short for the deciding game next week.

I do wonder if it was the bunker not wanting us to win or more a case of them wanting the bulldogs to win?
I wrote in the last rounds general discussion after the dogs were handed that win over the sharks that they were nrl's flavor of the month and we could expect some dud calls coming up so I shouldn't be shocked really- it was predictable.
Gotta laugh at all the bulldogs fans on social media saying it happens to them all the time- they've been spoon-feed two wins in a row and guaranteed a spot in the finals.

Correct. To be honest I no longer bet on the NRL as there's less chance of a Pakistani book maker affecting the out come of any given sporting event than the NRL jacking up a result.
