Put aside the effort, aggression and that terrible no call on TMM.

Did we actually deserve to win that game?

We knew going into it they had nothing upfront and we could dominate field possesion and territory IF we could just limit Burtons kicking. Instead they’re the ones who put our kickers under enormous pressure and got results all night.

Where the fuck was our kick pressure? Atleast we had to two kickers, they only had burton!!

Terrible fucking strategy by AW by letting them off the hook time and time again. Just put pressure on burton! legally or illegally, it didn’t matter if we gave some penalties early if it meant he would start to put doubt in Burtos mind. But nope, from the first kick to the last he just fucking took his sweet time while our guy hung back.

It's actually not that scientific. They all handle the ball as part of their employment. They could all have an extras session and I mean everyone to practice skills outside of their positional ones.

End result is everyone can kick goals. Everyone can kick drop goals. Everyone can pass both ways and while running at pace. Might save $1.2mill a year on buying someone who has practiced something that everyone can do.

Not referring to signing Brown for field goals, sign him for running x-factor, need others to sort out their clutch field goals, CHT is still choking so he needs to step up or they need to get someone else to do it properly, within or outside the squad, there’s a reason we lost those golden points until SJ came back in 2022, like we literally, scientifically sucked at field goals without SJ

To add to the Salmon late tackle on Martin. Annesley says the match review has more time to look at it compared to the officials. The commentators picked it up on the first replay.

It comes across like they don't want to take the heat that would follow if it was penalised and that decided the game.

Salmon is looking at a 2-3 game suspension. Yet it wasn't a penalty. Montoya's one wasn't high, it was no arms. This one was no arms, high and late.

To add to the frustration in the Roosters vs Dragons game someone gets pushed over after passing. It wasn't anywhere near as bad. That one was a penalty and on report.

Like Lussick who ran through too fast and caused a leg break I don't think Salmon was malicious. It was a case of running through too fast and not being able to stop. It was careless. So I won't agree with Ricky Stuart that he is a weak gutted dog. Just a clumsy bulldog.

We didnt "let him go", he asked to go as he was homesick. Bit of a difference.

Homesick card was used well after he was released, he was publicly frustrated at the minutes given and you could see the reduced role he had under Webby. There were no rumors of homesick but plenty about discipline stuff

He literally said he was homesick in an interview with Bloke in a Bar.

Frustration at minutes is funny as he's playing a similar role off the bench at the Bulldogs, and has averaged a whopping 4 more minutes this season than last.
What a difference! 😂

Correct, one does not require a sympathetic approach from officials just the Rules and the said interpretations of the Rules to be applied constantly and evenly without basis across all teams in the NRL.
Beautiful typo in the above - well done.

I can understand people being upset he left. He was a rare case the last 5-10 years we recruited someone and they improved while they were here. Or you could make a case that they were playing their best football here.

He was getting more football under Brown once he got his fitness sorted. I can understand him being frustrated under Webster.

We had rumours that two players were thinking about asking for a release. He likely would have had Gould talking to him about the Bulldogs and where he'd fit which would have made it appealing.

He was with the club before and after covid. So I am fine with us giving him a release. That was a tough few years.

The frustration for me was more when it occurred. Clubs either recruit mid season or early in the post season. This happened quite late. That can make recruiting harder. I'm not sure if they started recruiting as soon as he left but when they recruited Capewell the comments were about replacing the experience of those two they released which is kind of their own doing.

The other thing with Curran's release. Remember he had no idea where the Bulldogs rumours were coming from. The lesson don't believe the players there is often some truth to it.

It is good he hasn't fallen off at the Bulldogs. I'm not sure his form is as great as it was a year or two back. Roach hypes him up every game like he does for Walsh. Even if nothing is happening.

He literally said it in Jan 2024, AFTER he was released, like I stated. He also said it on Monty’s show this year. Find me a quote before the release of him saying he is homesick. All the public and rumor discussions were off field discipline issues

It’s like do you believe Nathan Brown when he said he resigned because he can’t move to NZ, while we were second to last? 😂 People’s ability to read between the lines these days…

Yes a coach who demoted you from starting star player to 20min off the bench, to another club who picked you up and give you a lifeline, same same, I am sure Sam loves Webby as much as Ciraldo

Why does it matter when he said it? It's the reason HE said he left.
But sure lets make up things in our mind to suit an agenda 😂

It’s pretty funny that he’s playing the exact same role at the dogs, as he was with us

He was demoted from a star 2nd rower by Webby, at the dogs he was just given the same role, heck even expanded apparently, 24 minute is 20% more than what he got with us

Edit apparently 52 minutes 4 minutes more at the dogs, 7-8% increase

Edit 2 - looked it up myself, bro was playing 63min, reduced to 45min, a 29% decrease, and the dogs gave him 52min, a 13% increase

If I'm the Bulldogs I am appealing Salmon's suspension.

My arguement "how can I be suspended when the Ref touch judges bunker cleared it and said it was not foul play It's not like the NRL can say it was missed by everyone during the game. It was reviewed and cleared as not foul play."

They probably at worse get dropped to rereferring a NSW Cup game for a week or two as punishment
Then back to NRL and get that bag under the table
