I thought they did well, got into position nicely and had 3 clean attempts.

Execution was the issue unfortunately

I would find it hard to believe they’ve been practicing as their daily routine. They had multiple chances right in front and chose not to take it or failed to convert

DCE made it look so easy winning it last night for Manly

1/2 hr a day on drop goal practices and we win last nights game

Everyone can nail field goals at practice from in front of the posts. Golden point is a tough scenario to emulate and doesn’t happen enough to dedicate time to weekly in a busy training schedule.
What you’re alluding to is clutch moments. As full time professionals halves, if kicking is difficult for them, then they need to double down on practicing. Not practicing no look passes to no one..

At first when CHT did that pass I was bewlidered as to what happened. Then when they showed the replay that it was because he wasn't looking I wished I could unsee the replay and I preferred not knowing how he made that mistake.
What a ghastly error. All the Warriors want to play like the harlem globetrotters.

Did you watch the entire Manly v Cowboys game or just the highlights reel that showed the one he managed to slot? There were plenty of opportunities for both sides which they could not convert which in comparison to CHTs two attempts looked far worse at times.

Salmon, weak gutted dog, late on TMM and my little pony fuckwit with a shoulder charge, no penalties. Why and how did the NRL get away with this bullshit bias against us?

Never felt so salty and gutted after a loss. TMM must of had tips from SJ tonight, he had a pretty poor game. Great debut by Leka and Barney again our best.

More positives than negatives from that loss.

And now this news this morning Salmon charged with a 3 week ban. FFS NRL sort your shit out!!!

I watched the entire game.
He needed two attempts.
He connected beautifully and so effortless in his first attempt. No idea how it didnt go over.
All he needed was a second chance and he aced it.

Townsend and Val Holmes attempts were complete shockers also.
But they are not the benchmark.

I don’t buy your last sentence
The team playing like Harlem globetrotters are the Eels and they are running last.
We are mainly playing it up through the middle getting yardage

If you want to see a Nzw Harlem globetrotters side look up you tube Nzw v broncos early 2000s with Evarn Tumivaevae Stacey Clinton Toopi and a second rower lock called Sione Faumuina - the way that side played was crazy but entertaining

Geez that is an admission of disgusting and incompetent officiating right there!
So how does this admission right any wrongs given the offending player has a broken jaw from the incident and couldn't play during his suspension regardless and his team were spared the loss instead of the incident being penalised and the Warriors not given a penalty shot at goal to win the game!

Disgusting cheats..
How does this happen? literally have to go back and review it to cite him and yet does not happen during the game, a game where montoya was pulled up a full minute or two later ....is it a different committee that does the match citing? genuine question, cos if it's the same bunker it's not far from actual corruption.... makes me crazy... i.e. we won the game, we should have the 2 comp points

We truly are reffed in a biased manner. Yes you can demote match officials but you can't reverse game results. The system is wired badly and it is against us. To win, we must beat other teams, match officials, media and as illegal sports betting.

Hello Kos.

We can disagree if need be - but wording is key to my post.
They are not playing like the Harlem Globetrotters you are correct. They are playing disciplined Webster ball.
BUT THEY WANT TO PLAY HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS STYLE.

And it comes out every now and then

TMM admitted it in the interview last week post match
"I think we should play more eyes up footy and take more risks, and if it doesn't come off that is ok just defend it".
That sentence is code words. When the warriors talk about wanting to play eyes up footy that is code language for wanting to play harlem globetrotters style.

They all want to be like 2005 grand final Benji.

"Want to" is the key phrase not "they are currently playing" if that cryptic finish to this post makes sense.

Evidently Pompey needs goal kicking improvement.
Halves need drop kicking improvement.
Team needs to practise drop kicking shapes and setups. And honestly we need to have two more able kickers as options to put the defenders off. Like CHT and TMM both get set but the pass goes to Pompey who nails it uncontested. I really like the sound of such play.

CHTs first attempt was very close too. His second was deflected by an offside Mahoney.

Holmes and Townsend are noted field goal kickers.

You are being too hard on CHT. His attempts did not look like someone who doesn't spend time practising.
His second attempt might have been missing as well without the Mahoney touch.

That has to be the standard if we want to compete with the top clubs.
No excuses.
