Havent read the comments and I know it would have been bought up 100 times in the thread already so sorry in advance for doing so again, I need to vent.

I hate the fact that i'm one of those salty that the Salmon/TMM debacle was not called a penalty.

Not wanting to use it as an excuse because its not gauranteed we kick the penalty but atleast it gets called fot what it is. Though we should never have been in that position and should have iced our own oppurtunities.

I'm salty asf because the NRL talk up there priority about player welfare and player safety yet they deemed that play "ok". Even on someone who hasn't had a brain bleed thats a cooked and dirty shot. How the fuck they refuse to call shit like this has me hating the game.

Such a fucking unbearable competition to watch and support, especially thinking "what the actual fuck" and "what if" all the time.

Kikau milking that penalty for the crusher vs Salmon knocking his teeth out with a collision almost identical to Montoya penalty shows you clearly the bias against us.

Can anyone explain what the change has been between a 60 point capitulation against the titans to almost winning in golden point against a top of the table bulldogs team while having that much ingame adversity thrown at us? Two weeks turn around.

We underestimate the Ttitans
They burnt us with speed out wide
Dogs didn’t have speed
They’re not a strong attacking team

We also had too many old hands like Tohu and SJ. Everyone waiting for them to do something. They were hopeless.

Massive night and day when Leks came on. We needed that injection. He almost won us the game with his up tempo energy.

The ref can always make a bad call or miss one but we shouldn’t be relying on those to go our way at all

I'm still a bit salty, so if I sound like a prick I apologise in advance lol.

For me, the point your missing is that were not 'relying' on calls to go our way, but I'm complaining about the lack of consistency.

The Montoya hit on Tracy was called back three tackles later for a penalty. The normal ref missed it, but the 3rd ref made a point to halt play and go back to that.

If a referee decides to play it that way, fair enough. I thought that tackle was fine, but if you call that one, then you HAVE to call the TMM one.
To have a stop in play and multiple looks at that, and to determine that wasnt a penalty, yet you're happy to call something back three plays later is weak. Imo it's borderline cheating. They're changing their interpretation mid game, so how can we know where the line is drawn?

I thought at times we were slowing the play down in the ruck a lot and didn't get penalised. The same for the Bulldogs at times too. I don't think you hear anyone complaining about that, because the ref was consistent for both teams.

Someone else pointed out too, look at the shit calls that we've been given in the last few weeks - the RTS binning, the Chanel sin bin for dropping the ball on Chad's head, Laban sin binned for being a punching bag for big red.
They were all shit calls. But, I'm happy for those calls if they're consistent across the board. But they're not.

I don't think asking for a game of footy to be consistent is unreasonable, however any time it's brought up us as fans are labelled sooks. It's pretty fucked really

Salmons shot was no different to Mays on Walsh earlier in the year aswell.

Inconsistant, bias, unconscious bias, rigged.. it's certainly the look and attention it gets with how wrong these "professional referees" get it week in and week out across the board.

In a sadistic way I'm ok with the fact that the game didn't end in a draw as it still leaves us with the odd number of points and with the smashing from the Titans for and against won't affect our finishing position - would still have liked to win though

Result aside, I really enjoyed the game. The first half in particular was as physical regular season game as I remember. Our intensity was excellent all game even with a one man bench the effort never dropped.

The halves are copping a bit of flack but hard to create much with a makeshift backline. Bulldogs have an excellent defence and you aren’t going to score 30 on them.

Halasima has all the talent, and if the effort is there and the club develops him well could be the 1st big thing we’ve produced since SJ. Incredible debut for an 18 year old.

Actually don’t mind Butler, but as soon as I heard Adam Gee’s voice from the bunker, I had a feeling there might be a strange call or two

if there's 99% of a fan base voicing there opinion to say what the fuck, wanting an explanation, then there is indeed a major issue.

Unfortunately trolls and the opponents fans feed off it and label us as "Wahs" when as you said, all we just want calls to be consistant.

Can happily take a loss if there's no controversy

Completely agree ... genuinely shit calls in the past 3-4 weeks - all against our teams
