We'll have Cleary and Metcalf also fighting for positions next season to.
There should be that pressure on every player to fight for their spot but there are a few protected species in this line up and they now need to be moved on. SJ is a safe target to be dropped IMHO. He’s off contract and wildly out of form. I see shades of Ali v Holmes in his performances. You are willing him to find some of his previous spark - instead you are watching a flame extinguish in front of your eyes.

The biggest con job I've ever seen.If I was a supporter paid to go and see that I would burn the grandstand down.Lucky my house is still standing after watching it on TV here. There is nothing else to say except no one turned up for 1 sec of the 80 mins for a gutless performance.
I go to each and every titans home game
Usually the crown is about 12000
Tonight it was 22800
Half of that crowd were Nzw supporters
Prob warring about $800000 of supporters gear
Are you listening Cam
And they turn up and serve up that ( censored) petformance!
They weren’t there for a holiday!

Man, that was absolute shite. What gets me is that the crowd was 90% warriors fans on the GC. Nothing but love all the way. But what fkn team has that much support and not show up? Like last weekend at home? Our homeground should be a fortress. All the support, all the love, all the energy from the Warriors faithful week after week no matter what, and what do we get? Bro 🤦

By 'losing set up' I'm assuming you mean SJ at 7 and TMM at 6?

Correct.

But as long as SJ is fit and able, there's gotta be a spot for him.

Well, I suppose my next questions would be:

1) is he currently fit and able?
2) what differences have you seen in the last two games versus the three games before that.

Ive been waiting to call it, but I feel that it's getting fairly clear now..

My question is would a different halves make up have made any difference to that result today?

So does this mean we won't win the premiership now that we have lost by 50?

Season is done.

NZ2 Can't come soon enough. This is why I have a 2nd team. Go Dolphin's 😅😭😭😭😭

The halves weren't the main problem.
For the lack of offence yes they were. Obviously they had nothing much to do with 66 points conceeded and the porous defence,
But indirectly had we scored more points the Titans would have had less possession to score.

In his 220th NRL appearance Dylan Walker gets his first cap in the Second Row. That experiment was an abject failure.
Tom Ale hadn't played a single minute, in any grade in close to a month, so they hold him & Laban back until the score is 0-42.
Tohu turns back the clock to finish the game in the Second Row despite no injuries requiring that positional switch.

It all makes absolutely no sense
That's Nathan Brown esk!

Man what I hated about the presser was webby saying the players and club are made of good people when somebody bought up selections going into next week.

Nobody is questioning culture they are questioning the ability of your squad!

He won't make huge changes next week!

The possibility he could be a dud as a coach is frightening. I am keeping the faith until TLT.
Ctiticise in private and praise in public is a good practice.
Maybe he will let the fur fly behind closed doors.
The Tuesday's Team List will tell us a lot about Webster as a coach.

Lack of offence was due to poor errors, discipline, defence and total loss of ruck control. That was not on the halves. At around 30 minutes the Titans had 1200 metres and we had around 500. That's not on the halves.
It just snowballed after that

Well a big wake up call that the Warriors arent the top 5 favourites for the comp weve been thinking they are. I imagine they will bounce back strongly after this result though and im hoping to see them win 95%+ of remaining games which will have them in a good position come finals as they also reintroduce key personnel such as Metcalf etc.
Fair way to go but the team that will win the comp, will be the one best able to adjust. The team best able to adjust will be the one which has learnt the most lessons. The warriors luckily learnt a lot of lessons today and in recent weeks and for this reason, will be well prepared come finals should the above eventuate

Absolutely get the forwards lost us this game in particular, but it's the way the team has played as a whole. And those guys leading have to make way for the next tier to make it thier own.

There is no way this team is going anywhere with SJ, Tohu, AFB and the like.

Correct.

Able - yes
Fit - no

It's all between the ears at his age mate, you can lose ability, but you don't lose instinct.

Cooper Cronk won a GF with one arm, and he was older than Shaun.

We've barely fielded a full strength squad all season, get that right and build the plan around a fully fit SJ.

There's a reason the Roosters were after him and it's not because of what we're expecting of him.

Despite our paltry 500 metrers we had maybe 12 chances in the red zone toinight and converted on one of them.
We should be converting on at least 30% of them
Last week Storm converted every red zone chance they got.

SJ was all but walking and not even running as he ran the cutter. He never took on the line himself so the defence knew he was always going to pass it. He ran an east west cutter. Instead of running "North South" shapes straight at the try line SJ ran very very slowly parallel to the try line before dishing off to a fiorward and hoping that forward could burst through 4 tackles ten metres out from the line. It was predictable and all the footage of him doing it has been studied.

If we had scored more tries they would have scored less tries just due to game momentum.

Anyway I don't want to wind you up and I respect your point and I know what you are trying to say. Webster agrees with you by the way that we lost this up front.
