Was referring to other posters defending him and giving the benefit of the doubt
I know, I am highlighting these stats for those inferring a hiding like this doesn't fall on a half because they need a platform. SJs defence was a contributing factor in this lack of a platform. 8 runs for 1 post contact metre is a crazy stat too.

TMM 21 tackles for 1 miss.

SJ is usually a good defender (in the second half of his career)

Those players are in the 17. They are already part of it. No more damage could be done that was already there and they have been part of that three game run previously so know they can contribute
There is a difference in dropping them on when we are getting rolled over, I could be wrong cause I switched off by we got into an arm wrestle and then they both came on instead of when we were absolute shit, and they can be confident in that when they were only was the only time we looked even like scoring and they were involved.

If they come on and are part of a team getting rolled constantly they probably don’t get involved and just feel like the rest of the team should feel

How do you think they would feel if we are getting rolled and they aren't used?

Last year we had a far better attitude to defence imo, which I hoped would become our absolute non-negotiable base line.

A few games last year we scraped a win 'because of SJ' we can't just discount players like this, TMM included!

Last year, the boys were rebounding from one of the worst seasons the clubs ever had.

This year, we had a three game run where we were building momentum. That momentum ground to a holt when the team changed back to a losing setup.

I love your dedication, but surely it's getting pretty tough to stand on that side of the fence.

I started fast forward the game, I am sure the players did the same

Was AFB good or is he back to the rotten apple BTS?
AFB was good tonight and played like a professional

The player that really dropped his lip was CNK - at one point Foran did a little kick into the end goal and Campbell chased it hard and scored. CNK was slowly jogging towards the action and had the game been close he would have dived. He probably still would have not got there but he could have pressured Campbell rather than giving him a free run at the ball.
CNK gave up tonight I am sorry to say
AFB just put in his usual high quality performance without trying to win the player of the match award.
I actually thought Tohu put more effort in this week than he has in past weeks.
Here is my points out of ten for each position

1 CNK Zero - the worst game of his life including when he out of form with the Raiders
2 Kosi - three - some good runs - his edge defence was typical of any warriors winger in the last 5 years.
3 RTS - One - It seemed like he was rusty as and hadn't played a game in a million years and should have returned through NSW cup first
4 Pompey - bad game for him. Arm grabbing on one conceeded try. 4 out of ten
5 Montoya the best of the outside backs with 6 out of ten. Didn't nothing terribly wrong
6 TMM 1 out of ten Some good defence but ineffective at creating try assists
7 Shaun Johnson negative 100 out of 10. For the first twenty minutes of the game he either actually walked with the ball before passing it or slowly trotted with it at one mile per hour. The game is supposed to be executed at pace
8 AFB 8 out of 10. He was fine
9 Egan 2 out of ten. Missed tackles or at least seemed to when I was watching. He had a bad night
10 Ford - a stupid loose carry early in the match like he always does. Three out of ten
11 Niukore - 7 didn't nothing right or wrong
12 Walker zero - terrible debut as a second rower. Foran did not jolt the ball out of his hands in the tackle he just dropped it.
13 Harris 7 out of ten. He wasn't good he wasn't bad. Amidst the crap that was out there his mediocreness stood out as a strength tonight.

CHT 2 out of ten. Lock is not his position but he never dropped his lip and chased some of those breakaway tries to the bitter end to make the conversion harder
Laban 7 out of ten. He went good
Ale - 2 out of ten. Needs to harden up after someone puts a shot on him and still play the ball quickly.
Jazz - if Shaun was negative 100 out of ten then to be fair i have to grade this as negative 200 out of ten. He has high standards. He is a professional. He is a talented player. He will be very dissapointed in what he put out there tonight. Did not even look like a reserve grade player let alone a first grade player.

whats the saying ...never change a winning side .. strong wins Panthers / Phins ..old stale players back we lose and then really lose ..
mentally I feel the boys lost that game before they even walked onto the park.. no team structure ...

AFB gave up at the end, you weren’t watching.

CNK was GASSED.

Harris was terrible as usual. zero leadership, zero speed, zero starch. Arm grabs and flops.

Harris played crap like you accurately said all season. This game I saw him try to lift. CNK's game was inexcusable. He goes into a list of two people with Ed Kosi of players that gave up during a hiding. Ed Kosi gave up during the Storm 70 point thrashing then cried after the game because he humiliated himself in one of the most abject displays by a professional sports person ever.
If Melbourne Anzac day 72-12 loss to Melbourne is our worst hiding in recent memory then tonight is easily our second worst.
Tohu tried to the end and showed character, CNK showed he had no heart tonight and was the tin man from the wizard of Oz. Not on. Not acceptable. Even Kosi did not give up tonight.
