Well we can move on now. I was obviously pro metcalf at 7 but I am not going to argue that now the decision is made.

Tannah should be very proud of what he has achieved here. Players will always thrive when they have the trust by management and his extension and Luke's release definitely gives that. My biggest concern was a mid season 'fight for your spot' and putting undue pressure on both players

I can understand why Mets has a dream of being a no 7. As much as we all think he is a better 6, if that is his dream, it's best for both parties if he is allowed to pursue that path elsewhere. NRL careers are too short to have your dreams stalled in the way Mets believes they are being stalled. So I don't begrudge him for pursuing his dream. Good luck to him on his future. But not too much luck obviously as we want to win the premiership at the expense of his future club.

Onwards and upwards. Looking forward to the Tannah announcement. Hope he sees this for what it is: a public vote of confidence in his abilities, something he was never given at the Tits or the Broncos. The fact that there are some voices talking him up for origin shows just how far he has come. He can go even further under another 3 years of webby.

It really is... agitating for a release 2 games off an ACL recovery with the team performing better without you. And the contract the club AWARDED you during your ACL rupture recovered hasn't even started. It's up there thats for sure.
Don't be butthurt because someone doesn't want to play with you.
He was signed as 7, he had concerns the club was going to move foward with Boyd which they confirmed so he looks for a new gig that suits him.

Tanah had to work hard and wait his turn. The two games that they played this year with Metcalf showed that he is not ready for first grade at the moment. He needed to work hard and wait for his chance, but he seems unwilling to do so.
