It’s always interesting how people see things differently. For the dolphins try in question I saw Boyd do the right thing. He saw we were short and rushed up to pressure the pass, which in my mind means his 2 outside players should’ve also followed. Both Ali and DWZ were slow on the rush which allowed the Dolphins time to make the right pass. If they had followed Boyd in harder it creates more pressure on making a good pass.

It would be great if Boyd saw the problem and shouted at the top of his lungs to rush so that the line could go in unison.

Damned if does. Damned if he doesn't. He would get slayed for not helping if he (which is right)marked his man. It's just a negative by product of the defensive breakdown further in.

Nail him for his failures but he would need faster processing and movement to be able to hit those tackles and stop the bloke. This is good dialogue about what and who needs to improve.

Yeah its not exactly "the basics" more extremely high level edge defense that only a few blokes can pull off. Ie RTS pulled it off a couple of times last year
