Tannah should be very proud of what he has achieved here. Players will always thrive when they have the trust by management and his extension and Luke's release definitely gives that. My biggest concern was a mid season 'fight for your spot' and putting undue pressure on both players

I can understand why Mets has a dream of being a no 7. As much as we all think he is a better 6, if that is his dream, it's best for both parties if he is allowed to pursue that path elsewhere. NRL careers are too short to have your dreams stalled in the way Mets believes they are being stalled. So I don't begrudge him for pursuing his dream. Good luck to him on his future. But not too much luck obviously as we want to win the premiership at the expense of his future club.

Onwards and upwards. Looking forward to the Tannah announcement. Hope he sees this for what it is: a public vote of confidence in his abilities, something he was never given at the Tits or the Broncos. The fact that there are some voices talking him up for origin shows just how far he has come. He can go even further under another 3 years of webby.

Yeah I don’t know if I would want to share a dressing room with Erin, Leka, Demi, Fish after they have all recently said how much they love the club and could not see themselves elsewhere. Could be a little intimidating

A shame about Metcalf, but to be fair, the way that Webby seems to be able to get the best out of players gives me confidence that whoever is in that position will excel. Metcalf is just showing that he is not willing to fight for the position and so is probably not great for the team spirit anyway.
