Probably a fair statement, when you see try's from AFB, Barney, Capewell, RTS....

If we didn't already know the result, you'd swear we destroyed them.

We monstered them.

We have been monstering teams all year for absolutely nothing - it's infuriating.

From the very first game of the season - nothing to show for it. (Look at these stats v Sharks!!)

20 unanswered points against Melbourne in Melbourne - nothing to show for it.

It is without doubt the strangest season I've ever seen from us.

Sugar coating and saying it’s not his fault (Webby) tells me he’s not being honest with himself or the team. It’s rubbish.

CHT needs to man up and accept he fucked it up. Hate people that look for excuses when the reason is glaringly obvious

The word I am looking for is accountability

Not excuses
RTS aswell for his brain fade for the savage try.

Did you not see the sombre footage of him heading straight into locker room and slumping back. He looked devastated. Not sure what anyome would get from him having to publically address the miss.

When he came back from his gap year he would not have tgought he would be the starting 5/8 let alone the gker heading into the final stretch. Bit harsh to dump the loss on him.

Stuart was pretty complementary of webster and especially barnett. Even said he apologised to levi for him having to sit on the pine all game as he had to adapt to game situation and take off players he was unhappy with. Wonder what our gameplan was with lussick. Suspect only there if egan injured or couldnt last full 80. Webster has prev stated 1 spot on bench is emergency cover. I find that pretty crazy based on all the injured and tired bodies taking the field and then getting further injuries mid match.

Lots to learn from this season.

It feels like one of those years where we have been frustratingly close to getting it right, all season.

Just something always got in the way.

Form slumps, injuries… always something…

I don't pay too much attention to post match pressers.

It's what goes on behind closed doors that matters.

Ultimately we were relying on a 3rd string goal kicker to tie a match that we couldn't even get up for after a 2 week rest.

Do you want Nuikore to man up too? His defensive lapses let in a try and a break from his miss tackle lead to another try a set later. Plus his lazy head high tackling. Roger letting that bomb bounce and not wacking it out lead to a try. Maybe we defend better and don't have to rely on a third choice kicker to win us a game. Dwz, Rts , Nuikore made some glaring mistakes that put us on the back foot. Our senior players! CHT had extra responsibilities with TMM playing injured and did most of the last option kicks. A big load on the shoulders of a fourth choice half. I was fucked off too. No need to heap shit on one man.

Be great if we could get through a game without losing any of our 17, let alone 2 or 3 of them. I can't think of any other team that has consistently been affected in games like we have been. Is it just bad luck?
No! I don't think so, not when we consider SJ's injury/fitness, why wasn't this identified months ago and action taken?

Is Webby putting too much trust in senior players 'knowing' their own bodies, or do we have medical/rehab issues?

Hard to put it down to anything else... When was the last time you heard of a team losing their starting back three to injury (when already without speed in their ide) and then (the following week) their two first choice goal kickers for the game.

We get the four points over these last two weeks and we're near the eight - add another win from one of those shoulda, woulda, could games (e.g., Sharks, Storm, Anzac Day, Knights) and we're tracking well. We're not far off - but we've been hanging by a thread all season, with some bloody unlucky injuries (and calls) preventing the season from being salvaged.

Last game maybe you could say CNK was a risk but to lose Montoya and DWZ as well? Tonight TT to a HIA and Pompey with a knee?

We can probably chalk it up to our backs not backing up the standard our forwards have set. The forwards have laid a solid platform and we can't seem to capitalise - whether it is personnel, injuries or gameplan, I don't know... but it is probably a combination of all three (especially the impact on the halves).

Mate, we’re all just venting. It’s a game at the end of the day. So once i calm down having lost $$$ again at the TAB, I’m sure I will be more appreciative of his effort and little more forgiving

But fact of the matter is. He fucked up. Fans will be angry. And they deserve to be angry. How I deal with losing … quite simply put .. I get angry… not sad… angry. I think that’s pretty normal behaviour

Take a leaf out of my book and bet against the opposition.

You are guaranteed to get a win or get money

It has never steered me wrong!

I'm interested in the average age of our posters here.

Who remembers Stacey shanking that shot in Wellington against the Bulldogs in 2001?

That was for the win. There is a distinct lack of correlation on here leading me to think it is from a time long forgotten!
I have been thinking of it consistently for the last hour. It wasn't just that game, he missed on others like that, though not with the result on the line like that one. He wasn't a bad player despite those foibles!

For CHT, you could tell he was overthinking it. He kicked a lot in his first two years at the club. A lot of the backs looked rattled, there wasn't much confidence with the high balls etc. Who can blame them, what a shit show of combinations in the last two weeks.
