I’m not trying to fool anyone. I’m a Raiders fan. It’s just embarrassing when opposition fans moan about being hard done by, but are blissfully unaware about the oppositions short-comings. If you’re going to make statements like “we win with Fish and Barney” then atleast do a bit of homework on the opposition.
You don't need to fool anything. Enjoy your wins and your successes.

It doesn't matter what homework gets done. Ricky always ambushes us with that same good winning game plan.

The difference in the game was one good offload from Mariota when we had a man short in the middle, can’t complain too much if we only scored once and its not like a bunch of others were called back or anything

Attack is a bit frantic, the old dirty grubber on play 3 in wet conditions is more likely to have something good happen than running to the corner post

Think were we missed the most was not being able to smash their outside backs early in the set, couldn’t put them on the ground.

They played almost unbelievably boring one out x5 and bomb, but they had the better field position, so it worked well enough.

I thought the kick chase was a bit off they kept on getting to 25-30m line while the D line just waited for them to run an extra 10

And it directly led to the lightweight sin binning and their try.

100% he went out of his way to push his head into Leka.
Hundy! Still, I'd have 'em in Our squad at any given time. Barnett, JFH and Tapine? Hough!
That'll never happen, so we have to believe, and I Believe that TSS could be the making of something Tapine'esque.

Given he is from Christchurch I'm bias but can see the potential for 'em next year onwards.

Anyhow, have a good week Whanau (talking of week/s, I'm gonna soak a prepped rabbit in salted water in a bucket tomorrow. All week and then on Sunday We'll feast).

Goodnight 🖐️😛

We are definitely a top 8 side but need to fix our red zone attack if we are to make any noise.
DWZ got at least till our bye to pick it up or needs to go.

Disappointed by the result, the game was there to win and I feel we let ourselves down.

As many have said, too many errors or penalties from us, especially at key times.

I thought Marata, RTS and CNK were strong. Clark was a beast as always, but Ford was out MOM.

A lot of learning for our young boys - a few poop errors from them, but that's to be expected I guess. I hope they learn from this.

I thought Halasima looked a bit tired. He made meters, and completed most of his tackles but seemed ineffective attack wise. I wish we knew how to get him 1 on 1 or even 2 on 1 against the opposition. He always does it tough with 3/4 players on him most of the time. I'd like him to come off the bench next week - Leka, Demi, Ford and let him focus on impact and making a difference in shirt bursts. Felt like he was trying to make something from nothing all the time (probably because our attack was so average).

Honestly not that worried. Had us likely losing pre game just due to the amount of travel and deep grinding games we've eeked out in the past month. We've handled Fish being out because Barnett has been next level. Was always going to be a tough ask with both out against a gun Berra pack.

They came with the mindset of punching us square in the mouth knowing we didn't have the experience of Fish & Barn to combat that. Thought considering all of the above we did pretty well all things considered.

Not entirely sure grinding 19yo Leka is the right path, has looked a bit tired the last two weeks. Some better minute management at the very least, or maybe a few starts from the bench. Marata has been in a bit of form finally, so a fresh Leka off the bench would seem ideal. Kids not even remotely physically in his final form and due to his ability is being monstered in gang tackles, I'm not surprised he's burning out.

Attack is what it is, I've got a long term view on the pairing so am just taking that as it comes. Hopefully it at least progresses somewhat as the season goes on.

I see us as a bit like the Bulldogs in 2024 if we continue this path of constantly having to grind out every game. They seemed to run out of steam by the back end of the season as those sort of games every week must wear you down if you can't put on points and break away from teams.

Can't win them all and Canberra are a good side in 2025. Not the end of the world. We do need two good showings, winning at least one against the Tohs or Sharks before the bye though. Don't want to go in with a treble of losses for confidences sake.

The team is travelling well and we are in the top four during a mini rebuild. Young kids are getting games under their belt, new half's pairing, we are playing a tough brand of footy. Not sure I can ask much more from what I thought we'd be at this point after the Vegas game. Think I'm just excited where I feel the club is currently at and looks to be heading in the future from the outside looking in. Great time to be a long suffering inception Warriors fan.

Not sure what all the above really means, it's late as, just spit balling some thoughts after reading through those 13 pages.

That's a terrible take mate.

Their absence was massive.

Pointless debating this.. The game was lost because we couldn’t capitalise when they had a man down. We couldn’t handle the raiders back 5. Continual infringements leading to CNK binning didn’t help. DWZs in ability to catch the ball and some poor decisions from our halves sealed our fate. Pretty much what Webby said at the presser also.

They bashed us which leads to all that stuff.

Barnett and JFH may not have made any difference to attacking shape but man they would have given it back on the mongrel front.
