Webster is too smart for his own good.
The boys came out flat, and we're absolutely lucky to be on the score board the first forty minutes.
Injuries are a part of the game but a good coach plans for every outcome., including a number of players that can kick goals, like compulsory practicing.
I believe the stars aligned last year, but this year is different.
The poor use of the bench and loyalty to out of form players over the year has cost the team.
Definitely not in the hunt.

He’s a bloody good talker though Webby

He uses big words like challenge, pride, effort, accountability, resilience… gets me all excited ..

bro, that was ugly!

poor CHT, gotta feel bad for the kid,
just nothing coming off for him.
couldn’t take a trick tonight.

the game was in the bag with a few kickable conversions and a possible highlight reel of a take on the sideline.

really feel for him, man.
the kid loves this club more than most. he’ll be better for it though, and i look forward to that.

I still think we're fucked going forward unless SJ comes back next year with a new less on his footy life. Injury free! TMM & CHT go missing in games as much as SJ. The difference is SJ can kick goals and is clutch with drop goals. Not gonna blame CHT for the missed kicks to much. Who knew both our kickers in Pompey & Tuaupiki were going to go off injured. Yes, He should be practising. Unfortunate really.

Let's hope Pompey's knee isn't long term. I know he's not a favourite around here as he isn't flashy. To be honest at first I wasn't high on him, I wasn't vocal about it. I cam around during the pandemic.

The last few years he's been solid. Done his work defensively and set up his centre.

RTS returned and was favoured. A lot of Warriors players in the past would have dropped their lip. He looks like he's worked hard and has taken his opportunities this year.

Agree.

If guys were coming back too early and aggravating old injuries, then you can point the finger. There's nothing a doctor can do to stop a twisted knee or head knock, they aren't wizards.
That's exactly what has happened. Look at Ali. They rushed SJ back as well. Yes those ingame injuries aren't preventable but I'm looking at the shit after

Hope it’s not too serious

So disappointing, the halves pairing isn't functioning well, likewise the centers, numerous positional changes and some lackluster performances. Injuries and errors too.
We're just not quite there but I do have the opinion that with a marquee half, stable spine, influx of youth and some tough decisions as regards the squad we've got the a lot to look forward to.
