Would be shocking to them see them revert back to 6. CHT / 7. Metcalf halves combo. It simply does not work.

Oops wrong week.

Couldn’t watch it live, seen the score and reluctant to watch a replay.

The fuck was the coach doing starting Ford
Fans on here over reacting. It wasn't as bad as they are making out. Lots to like really. Worth watching.

If I had to sit through that shit show, you do too

I thought JFH played alot better than people are giving him credit for.
Egan was let down by the players around him, he had absolutely no support when he ran out of dummy half, fucking disgraceful from our game plan.
Tane got monstered in the tackle but was easily our best back.
Ford, Niukore, Clarke and to a lesser extent Capewell were ther to take up a 1st grade spot because Webby has no other plan.
Walker was the only bright spot in attack and of course there's talk of him leaving next year.
It's gunna be a long long year with Webby selecting his rubbish favourites AGAIN
JFH backed up. Looked for available offload in red zone......

No Dylan Edwards backing up.

I'll be in the minority here, but I didn't expect much attack-wise considering we have new halves and new combinations on the edges. Nor do I think it's fair to get into our attack when you have to base your attack on your defense and positioning.

But that defense (which does not excuse our halves) and interchanges are my real disappointment.

Team – 40 missed tackles, 26 ineffective.
Capewell – 28 made, 8 missed, 3 ineffective.
Metcalf – 19 made, 6 missed, 2 ineffective.
CHT – 22 made, 4 missed, 2 ineffective.
Marata – 21 made, 3 missed, 4 ineffective.
Everyone else was just averagely bad—missing at least 2 and making 1 or 2 ineffective.

On the inverse, the best defenders we had:
Egan – 49 made, 2 missed, 2 ineffective.
Barney – 37 made, 0 missed, 2 ineffective.
Halismia – 10 made, 0 missed, 0 ineffective.

When it came to interchanges...
Why did we only use 7 and not the full 8? Why carry Halismia and Vaimauga if you're only gonna interchange them at the end? Halismia for 26 mins and Vaimauga for 14 mins (although, for context, the Raiders had a very similar interchange to us). Personally, I see more out of Halismia over Capes or Marata, and I'd carry Healey in if you're only going to play Vaimauga for 14 mins, ffs.

If you're going to play Barney at lock, you could have used the interchange to keep one of our captains on the field for the whole game. But instead, we had 25 mins without either captain on the field, which is when they scored 3 out of their 5 tries against us.
This is the point...surely if we have 2 captains we ensure 1 is on the field at all times?? I think webby was responsible for a crap 24 along with sj and tohu being broken(but he still kept picking them) and the reality is he just doesn't rate TMM..last year cnk HAS to be FB, this year Metcalf HAS to be 7..the guy doesn't learn.his bench usage..niukore and capewell on for 60 mins while our 2 up and coming guns sit on the bench..BS. just so depressing

Perhaps the wrong thread but a few things that I’m not happy with
1, recruitment has generally been poor - letting players go and not replacing them, going into a season with no outside back coverage
2, the club seems to be obsessed with winning off the field ( sponsorships, social media coverage, crowds) rather than on field - don’t get me wrong very important but need to win
3, the coaches conservative attitude and loyalty

Oh well, see you at MSS in 2 weeks

-The Warriors’ Vegas Vanishing Act-
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the biggest magic show Las Vegas has ever seen, starring the Invisible Warriors—who managed to play an entire game against the Green Machine without actually even turning up! For a team that traveled halfway across the world, you’d think they might’ve at least packed a game plan in their luggage.
We looked like a bunch of guys who just won a radio contest to play an NRL match in Sin City. No structure, no urgency—just 80 minutes of running around like a toddler in a shopping mall. And that Bench Rotation was from the Twilight Zone. If Webby had been playing blackjack, he would have hit on 19 and bust every time. His bench rotation was a mystery wrapped in confusion, dipped in incompetence.By the time fresh legs came on, the game was already on life support, and the Raiders were picking out what colour balloons they wanted at the Wahs funeral. (Spoiler alert - it’s all shades of green)

Stickys plan was simple, offload, put 4 into the tackle and lie on us for ever, never got penalised once yet we did. Can't remember how many in the first half but certainly killed us and we had no strategy to stop them.
The rH side seemed to be running and passing in slow motion.
Metcalf went missing and not happy with CHT, would rather TMM

Yes mate. Hard for the backs to operate when you have no go forward but you are right unfortunately

I knew we were in for a shit day when Webster thought he would be smart and swap Clark to the bench for Ford to start, so Ford would play the whole game so our young bench players could sit on the bench.... This loss is on Webster

Ford
Capewell
Barnett

All too similar body types and mould
They don’t bend the line or drag in defenders like AFB
They’re not fast or dynamic and they don’t have much vision or situational awareness

Its not just a starting pack, its the game plan. Sticky figured us out beautifully; thats why the Raiders spent the 1st 20 dropping the ball underneath, moving our fowards and back row around tiring them out.

Our forwards are small and mobile and our back row is big and slow.

8 Barnett
9 Healey
10 Bunty
11 Laban
12 Halasima
13 Clark

14 Egan
15 Walker
16 Fish
17 Demetric
I don't mind the shuffle around.

We were well off today. It's not fatal yet but frankly everyone in that team knows what went wrong
