Webbys obsession with Pantherball may be his undoing. We dont have Nathan and he isnt Ivan.

As I said if the Warriors had come out and said "rebuild!" and played they young guys, I could handle losing. But the same old shit by the same old players? Yeah miss me with that shit.
How exciting was the Panthers game in magic round last season? Not just because of the win but because of what we were trying to do. That should be our selection and gameplan. But back to the same ole same ole and its not going to change anytime soon because that magic round team and gameplan was forced through having injured players unavailable.

After game thoughts...

Raiders off loads eventually gassed our forwards.. keeping the ball alive enabled them to go up the middle and attack wide at will..
Sticky's teams are notorious for off loads we should of planned for that..

No attack plan strategy for a narrow field. (Refer above)... Intercept try?

Raiders expected the same old predictable warriors game plan and we walked straight into the trap..

Sure the players made mistakes but it's not all their fault..

See what happens next round...

You reckon we should move towards a size based forward pack and bench?

I think having one big bopper who bends the line would be ideal.

There are certainly advantages of having such a lightweight forward pack with Clark, Barney, Fish and Ford, but if we're not able to see the benefits of it because we're being bashed up the middle, it means we need to change something.

Tbh I don't even think we have a bigger body available at the moment...with Capewah and Niukore on the edges we don't have someone who can just plough forward and suck defenders in.

The thing that I struggle with, is that we seemed to be absorbing the opening exchanges as opposed to dominating them as running over them. That shit is trying. You then need a change of tempo or something to break that hold. It never arrive for us. We held on for too long imo, and Webby wasn't quick enough to pull the trigger when he needed to.

I was sure he was about to unleash Dem and Leka at the 25min mark but he never did. Im sure it would have changed the tide.

Well, the boys played sh!t. End of. The positive side, I liked the game being played at 1pm on a Sunday.

Not only does it give us all the time in the world to vent some, win lose or draw, it allows me to ponder while I mow my lawns... crank up the bar-b for tea? How will I react to the "nay-sayers" at mahi tomorrow and maybe Niukore's disrespect of the ball? That dropped ball when we were rollin' was killer! Fortunately, mahi, they know I'm a Die Hard. It ain't help none after today but.

It is a Beautiful day here in Chch, 30deg inside but I like it. I've read most of it posted here, and have pretty much decided... we're havin' a bbq.

Intentional Edit: Just checked, no gas for the mower and no lpg for the bar-b and you think we NZWarriors Fans have got it bad? Haha, all in jest.

Ooo Aah UP THE WAHS! Have a good week and enjoy the next game.

On that showing, we need to cash in on the following contracts- Niukore, Capewell, and while I think he's a good player, I just think he will be poorer and more injury prone next year - Walker. This is probably $2m in cap space. I would even let Roger go making it $2.75M. We need a revamp, and with the other dollars freed up we might have close to $4m. Also go find some good wingers, union, Fiji, we must be the worst at recruiting for backs in the whole NRL.
