No, it's not all on SJ but this pretty much encapsulates the game. Defence and kicking identified as the big work ons this week.

Terrible kick, walking afterwards with no urgency to get in to the line and strengthen up the defence. Too easy for the Eels and this type of play has been prevalent for quite a few games this season.

The highlights below show it better

Call it a month ago. Giving Ali, MGT, Ale, Halasima 10 mins of game time all this year, and then desperately resting the teams season on their shoulders, is a sick fucking joke.
Yep. Consistently struggling to create fluidity in team selection and cohesion. Players are good enough. Team is not. I hate that we can't sustain, handle or capitalise pressure

IMO the young guys these days have much more confidence swagger & physicality about them than in days past.
They mature earlier (in most cases) & are far better equipped to handle FG
If Ali or MGT had played 50% of games this season and was still getting smoked 2-3 times a game on defence, I'd be like okay fair enough. But DWZ is STILL getting smoked twice a game and hes been a first grader forever..

Unfortunately DWZ has always been an average footballer. Just got on the end of a smoking hot team last season

I feel average is a little bit off. That being said, he's far off the top tier of wingers.

Last year his highball and corner put downs out weighed his defensive liabilities. Sadly, this year his attacking prowess hasn't come through for what ever reasons.

Actually, considering my own points just now, you're probably right.

Come hither and regard my tale of last night.

When Gutho was lining up that side line conversion, he was about 5 metres infront of me. Let me tell you, the abuse that was coming from bay 28 was monstrous. Death threats, your mum jokes, all the works.

As he's lining up his kick, he turns and grins at a guy who 'baas' like a sheep.

Cooly, he slots the conversion, turns around and gives our lot a thumbs up.

THAT is mental toughness, my friend.

THAT is what we want in our team. Players that thrive under pressure.
Great story.
He is a goodie -Gutho.

Cheers.

He's a mutt (go back and look at how he was body checking people on our kick offs) but he didnt cave under pressure and I respect that.
He is was the refs ear the whole night. Basically an open dialogue for 80mins.

I think he was the difference in getting his team up and united last night, he was pumped.

But for all the talk of him being mentally tough. They're still running second to last

Fair point, but it aint because of him..

I noticed alot of bickering on the field last night.
SJ and RTS about who would do the kick off.
AFB on anyone would made a mistake.
Barnett

That was in stark contrast to the Eels who seemed together and connected.

Rugby League is simple really - run hard, tackle hard, show up for your team & good things usually happen

Yes agree. Too many people making excuses or finding reasons why we are shit.
We simply lack ticker

Eels were underestimated. Think Titans showed we clock off.
Bring back off loads. Buy some speed. Sj better than Tm
Kind of hard to offload when no one is there to take the ball, we've regularly had players looking to offload without anyone to take the ball. The effort just hasn't been there this season in regards to support plays, last year our support play was better and we hung in and turned games around with grit and determination. This year we've looked confident and been starting most games better than last year where I think after the 7th round Webby was getting tired of asking how to fix the starts, but even though we've been starting better we seem to fall off a cliff in concentration at some points.

If he takes the kudos for last year surely he takes the heat this year? How much might be the question though.
I wonder if we might be feeling the loss of Webby's assistant last year, Justin Morgan. TheCowboys - where Morgan is now - started the season well and in the second half of the season, they've beaten the Roosters, Raiders, Panthers, Bulldogs, Sharks, Wests, and lost to Manly by 1. Even in their season flat patch they lost narrowly. Sounds like '23 Warriors.

That's the season gonesky ... something's been lacking all season from day 1 v sharks and whatever it is aint been fixed.

Wondering if our attack and defence coaches aren't up to it.. or players not responding to the game plans... too many chiefs and not enough Indians.. be a lot to pick apart ... looks like a Swiss cheese full of problems..

Oh well long time between now and Las Vegas

Is the game plan too structured?
Let’s not give ourselves a headache.

We came into the season with the wrong attitude. Rode the wave of last year and got found out vs Sharks round 1.

Last year we flew under the radar until it became apparent we were actually having a decent run. This year had the expectations, the fan fare, the media attention.

Lads haven’t stepped up to the plate.

I also believe there’s disruption in the locker room. Starting with AFB wanting to leave. Jazz not getting re-signed. Walker wanting out too due to personal reasons.

Signing Capewell and RTS, who would be on decent coin but not adding much to the team.

SJ off form. I can tell he rubs people the wrong way just being who he is. We applaud guys who bleed Warriors but it doesn’t seem to apply to SJ.

Idk man I’m just talking shit now. I really don’t care as much as I used to. Following this team is way too negative. As if the on field results weren’t bad enough, coming on here to fester our feelings creates a sess pool of negativity about something that really doesn’t matter in the scheme of what’s important in the world.

It’s just a game.

The RTS and CHT experiment has been a flop

They brought with them the Warriors of old…

CHT again proved (like so many times) that he is not an 80 mins FG… he has a low concentration span

RTS is at a different phase of his life. Family, kids and what not. He’s not the hungry savage speedster of old. Even his try last night took him forever to get to the try line…

Bad karma.

The whole team needs a full clean out in 2026

Bulldogs style.

The season is DONE

Blood in the youngsters Webby and stop your delusional thoughts that we will make the 8. That ship sailed after we lost to the doggies and Canberra 😡 now Parra.. the bottom dwellers in the comp

His press conference is now just gibberish nonsense in my ear. I assume it’s the same for the players… 🤬
