Ryles had a cry about the ref at the end of the presser.

Shit, 6 agains at the end of the tackle count are bloody infuriating though.
A lot of the discussions early in the year were how teams were happy to give them away early in the tackle count to get set. We were getting hammered on the 4th or 5th tackle tonight.

The ones that frustrate me are the players coming back over the ball carrier to disrupt the play the ball.

Or when the ball carrier gets pushed over and in effect has to get up off the ground twice. Pretty sure, that happened after Healey's break when we were trying to up the tempo to score.

Can see Ryles having some cause for complaint. But their discipline was also a problem like the running off line to protect disrupt the kick chase.

The Boyd tackled after kicking penalty in the second half was soft. But earlier in the tackled count there was a missed high shot. Or the first half Boyd got taken high after kicking and it was missed. So, there was calls the Warriors could easily query as well.

Like a few teams against the Warriors. Their captain is more concerned with arguing with ref. Good for us as it shows they are frustrated.

Coming into the season I was thinking the top 8 would be the same as last year. Could see the same teams performing.

The one I was worried about was us. Backing up 2025.

A lot of the fancied sides are struggling for consistency. Or have been really poor.

Good to see we have bucked that trend and are finding ways to win.

The annoying ones for me is when the ref calls held, the players don't hear it and put the runner onto the ground. It doesn't really warrant an 11 tackle set for me.

Rest up boys, you deserve it.

What a difference a winger with speed makes.
You can see that with Khan-Pereira now providing serious speed on his wing, the Warriors are getting a little more expansive playing to his edge and trying to create space for him. Case in point, when Roger almost scored in the first half there was acres of space and maybe there was a case for Roger to give the pass with K-P steaming outside him.

I used to post on here religiously for over 10 years, but these days I don’t need to vent as often about this team because we’ve become a genuine top 4 side these last few seasons.

I honestly think we’re entering our premiership window.
I was thinking today how weird it is to watch the Warriors.

The Eels played exactly how we used to play. Strong opening 10 minutes, costly errors that kill momentum, pushed passes and turnover ball, then fade about 60 mins in and then get blown out.

They are looking great, and this time it feels sustainable due to actual quality starting to emerge across the park from 1-17 with few weaknesses.

However, in each of our last 3 good seasons we have failed to put the top teams away. We haven't really been tested by the cream this season yet either. If we knock a few of the big games off then I'll really feel like we have turned a corner.

I knew we have lacked speed and it has been a serious issue, but just how much AKP's turn of pace has created a new dimension to our attack has surprised me. I didn't think it would be so pronounced.

That one I was more annoyed with the ref RTS was going to play the ball.

I thought cuz their winger was skinned earlier he kept too close to akp this time thus rts had to run

Good on Volkman for taking his opportunity when it presented itself. He was in limbo two years back, carrying an injury which caused him to miss out on a contract with the Dragons. He looks at home with the Eels and he's getting an education from Moses. He's getting better with each game he plays. Two tries against his former club, just glad it didn't result in a Warriors loss, lol.

He's been pretty good the last few weeks.

After last year I thought he was going to be chewed up and spat out at the Eels. He seemed out of favour.

He has come back into the side and has been making some good plays.

For years we have been criticizing refs who officiate differently at the end of the game than at the start, and there has been less of that this year. There has also been less spoiling play. Pedantic is both good and bad.
I thought he did poorly too. But it sucks less when you win. We have been on the barrel end of those calls plenty. Ryles looked like he was doing his best Bellamy impersonation.
