I swear I have had a vision

6. CHT
7. SJ
9. Egan

14. TMM

Thats our best line up 100%

Potentially controversial thought, do you think it's SJ that's stalling our attack?

I dunno, probably too early to tell. I just get the sense that something's just clicked over the last couple of weeks and it's a combination of younger players and better play direction on the field.

Not at all. As repeated as nasuem, IMHO our 11,12,13 was the issue. Our 13 was our captain. Your leader sets the tone...

The biggest thing for me was how good MANY of the guys played. Barnett, DWZ, Afoa, Ale, Montoya, Pompey, TMM, CHT, Ford all played exceptional. Everyone else not mentioned were solid at WORST.

Ford has not had any wraps the last few weeks but I think he has been exceptional. Probably has the biggest motor in the team, tackle after tackle.

Dare I say, that if everyone was available next week, that Berry would be the one on the outer if CNK, RTS and Johnson were all available? I'll name my 7 below but I caveat that this could change week to week depending on form etc.

1. RTS
2. DWZ
3. CNK
4. Pompey
5. Montoya
6. TMM
7. Johnson
pretty hard to argue with that backline... really we have 3x great fullbacks all different but great FB skills ...I actually like CNK more up in the line than DWZ who I would mind staying at the back RTS is a hard one as he is a better FB than centre or wing so does make sense that he's at the back and DWZ back to wing .. CNK better than rocco speed impact so why not give him a go at centre...

Its a great problem to have we have never had the present depth in the FB role ...

Fill in? Why remove him?
A number of reasons....he is far and away our best winger and we have 3 other really good options to come in at fullback.

It does go to show DWZs value to this team though....our number 1 winger who comes in as 4th choice fullback and puts in a performance like that....no way I'd be letting him leave in the next couple of years, which has been floated around the forum recently.

but can we hang onto all our FBs ?

last week everyone was singing the praises of Taine ...?

another player haven't read much about Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow how good is this guy ???

IMHO when it comes to our FG players coming back in outside Egan - SJ would it be so bad for them to play a game or two of NSW ? and prove up they are better than the guys playing winning footy

Possibly the overreliance on SJ disproportionately attacking down one side of the field was getting too predictable for teams. Montoya's had a lot more opportunities in the last couple of weeks which is noticeable, but there are so many elements. The return of Jazz, Marata was an enforcer last night, Pompey is proving his worth as a genuine centre to name a few.

2nd week in a row was comfortable to cop the loss as long as we put in an effort to be proud of. I feared maybe last week was a one off getting through a game with emotion, but second week in a row the lads put in an effort to be proud of and come away with the result

Dalin has stated he is not having as good a season as previous. Maybe his switch to fullback has recharged his batteries. His game yesterday appeared to indicate that.

Just a few late thoughts on the game.

- MGT is one hearty mofo. Second and Third run on the exit set are tough carries and he was getting pcms all day. Defence is FG standard.
- Bunty made Plath his bitch.
- Dyl Walker's speed and ball playing at the line generates good mid set momentum - this suits Ale and Jazz.
- Where to fit SJ? TMM has shown the control enough to run that right side and get the team around. Also some 1v1 defensive efforts have been heroic. Let SJ make magic on the left side?
- Pompey surely has won his spot over RTS. Just so safe and has good hands for his winger because he doesn't get rushed and shut down like Roger.
- Niukore's impact on the edge has been sorely missed. His lack of match fitness is to Laban's benefit. The rise of the Webby Era stable is a pleasing sign towards the top 30 all being capable of first grade.
The last 2 weeks the aggression and intent in contact has won it for us because we're not relying on stars to carry us - no point in having icing without a cake.
- The thought of a Barnett and JFH combo next year is mouthwatering.

Interesting the chat around Barny staking a 2nd row spot for NSW even though he’s played front row most of the season.
Optically playing on the edges through the last two weeks he’s looked more dangerous. I hope Webster keeps him there and rotate AFB, Bunty, Jazz , Ale, Tohu through the middle and a mixed use of Marata in both positions when needed but ideally on the edges.

I wonder if that's why he's been playing 2nd row.
