A few people knocking Kosi. After that first error I do not recall any other big stuff ups and he never flinched in taking hard hit ups. He is never going to be elite level but is a trier. One thing, get some boots with sprigs that will will hold on slippery dewy grounds.

another who I thought played really well (there was no one bad) was Lussick.

Still in disbelief …

HOW DID THEY WIN THAT GAME??? 🤔🧐🤓
I don't see the win as that much of an upset tbh. Despite many outs, we still fielded the stronger forward pack yesterday. If we controlled position, as we did after the first 20 mins, we were always in with a shot of winning. I also don't think the phins are as good as their ladder position suggests. They are an experienced, sturdy side that are incredibly well coached. They are speedy but ultimately lack the pack to compete with the best. We exposed them physically yesterday.

I compared to last year’s situation and we were 6:6 before the bye, the difference in teams played evened up, except we drop a point against Manly (beat them last year), and provide we do a double against the Dolphins later in the year.

This feels huge heading into the bye, basically same position in the ladder to last year, getting troops back next month, confidence high, youngsters growing, challenging seniors, coach learning well working out plans and learn about players

It’s like cricket scoring 200/3 before collapsing to 220 all out in the first inning, then bowling 180/0 before your Glen Philips and allrounders both scored hat tricks to pull it back to 230 all out, and in the 2nd innings your Ravindras putting up 30/0 in 3 overs at stumps
Don’t know what the hell you’re on about but then I’m only new to cricket ;)

The pre-game was very good. Bunty had one of his best games. Mitch deserves his call up to the NSW squad. New guys will only continue to grow. Loved Dallin’s post-match comments about being at church in the morning when Webby phoned to say he would be playing FB.

Can’t think off any other time in the club’s history that Sky played the same game live on three channels with three different commentary teams and then had delayed coverage on a free to view channel.

I think both last week and then yesterday, Cleary and Bennet were thinking that they were games their sides should take out comfortably. Knocking off two Top 4 sides in two weeks with so much experienced on the injured list (and dropped for discipline) shows just how far the entire club has come. No one in the FG team should feel their spots are guaranteed each week (AFB, Harris and Capewell, I’m looking at you).

Warriors still the best ticket in town!!!! UP THE WAHS!!!!!

Where does Rts play? He has suffocated our attack in some ways thus far. Wing🤷
No. The problem lies in the 7 and 9. TMM has not been allowed to shine with SJ looking to dominate every play. The last two weeks he has shown what he can do. If SJ and Egan trust TMM more to have a crack and share the load, we then become a more well rounded team.

RTS hasn’t been bad - Pompey and him have been similar. But he has not been allowed to shine either. Personally, we persist with him - I’m telling you he will come good at centre. The guy will work his arse off to get back in the side - competition is good for him.

CHT has to be in the side as 14 as well.
My goodness - a healthy Wahs team is a heck of a propect.

The Cows game is going to be bloody pivotal. Win there and then our full strength side against the Storm at home will be a heck of a match up.

I’m excited.

Timing wise things are really coming together for us as a team.

I feel that from the start of the year, we started strong and while we weren't able to execute the plan, at times against the Sharks, Storm and other early games we looked really really good.
From there, I think we started to get quite a few injuries that lead to players being out, but also key players like SJ and Capewell playing injured and just not having as strong and impact, which I think lead to some of our key players (Tohu, AFB, Barnett) playing long minutes and becoming stale and tired. The more we tried, the more we dug ourselves in to a hole. At this time I think our plan of building pressure with our kick chase and attacking with our defence turned to custard as we gave away silly penalties and errors, negating the game plan.

The cool thing is though, now that we've been forced in to competing a different way due to all of our injuries Webbies been forced to chance up the plan (while keeping the same processes) and has seen two great wins while down on troops.

The key will be how Webby is able to implement the game plan with our best players back, while also taking the good things from the last two weeks (youth, off loading, having two kickers) and incorporate that into our game plan going forward.

Barnett just keeps getting better!
Moala Graham -Taufa bought speed and energy to today and looked at home in first grade.
The thing I’ve noticed the past two weeks is a loosening off of over structured game plan - heck there have even been some off loads in the tackles!
DWZ - 0-100Kmh in 3 seconds.
Love this team! 💪🏾

Thought Ale played his best game ever yesterday.
Monty also very good.

CHT is 10x the 6 TMM is.

As I mentioned in the gameday thread, the minute we switched up to the NSWarriors, we stopped giving up soft ruck penalties. I'm pretty sure we were giving up multiple penalties for slowing the ruck, cos the old fellas couldn't get up and back 10. Last two weeks we have looked much fitter and faster and no surprise, winning the penalty and 6 again counts.

The biggest thing for me was how good MANY of the guys played. Barnett, DWZ, Afoa, Ale, Montoya, Pompey, TMM, CHT, Ford all played exceptional. Everyone else not mentioned were solid at WORST.

Ford has not had any wraps the last few weeks but I think he has been exceptional. Probably has the biggest motor in the team, tackle after tackle.

Dare I say, that if everyone was available next week, that Berry would be the one on the outer if CNK, RTS and Johnson were all available? I'll name my 7 below but I caveat that this could change week to week depending on form etc.

1. RTS
2. DWZ
3. CNK
4. Pompey
5. Montoya
6. TMM
7. Johnson
