It is great to see us have a genuine pace option in our backline in AKP. Makes us so much more potent on attack. CHT and RTS did a great job with the quick passes to put him away. That is the kind of back line play I like to see but is not usually our strong point.

Fun first half, tense as hell second half, didn't help ourselves with the dropsies and random penalties that were hard to figure out from the crowd to halt momentum and whatnot but held firm at least 🙏

I'll take a 2 point win, but with a man advantage late should have definitely iced it earlier.

I'll watch the replay tomorrow to get more clarity hah!

UP DA WAHS to each and every one of you 😘

Two points is two points, and I’ll take it.
That said, we’re still making too many mistakes. Handling errors, little lapses in concentration, the sort of things that will cost us against better sides. We got away with it today. Lucky those moments didn’t come back to bite us, because they easily could have.
But again, we bank the win. That’s what matters at this stage of the season.
The event itself for ANZAC Day was done really well. The build-up had a great feel to it. You could see it in the crowd . Warriors gear everywhere, proper energy around the place.
The sound system absolutely goes. Loud, clear, and adds to the atmosphere.
Only downside for me is the stadium setup the crowd just feels too far away from the field. You lose a bit of that intensity you get when fans are right on top of the action.
And I’ve got to say it – the Mexican wave
Felt like half the crowd didn’t really know what was going on in the game. That still winds me up. We’re in the middle of tight moments and people are doing the wave… not for me. I guess a rugby city.
We’ve got the points, we move on.
Another two next week and then we hit the bye in a strong position. That’s the goal now , keep stacking wins, tidy up the errors, and build into something more consistent.
Plenty to like, but still plenty to fix.

How about the clutch kick from the sideline by Boyd to win the game!
That was a big kick in the context of the game because he’d left a few points out there missing a couple of others, but to take the lead it definitely showed some resolve to own the moment. I was interested to see Demitric get visibly frustrated with him at one stage

I love how we are here talking about the number of mistakes we are making as being too high. We still completed at 85% this game. I swear most teams this weekend are completing in the 50s and 60s. If that is the lower end of our performances that the team gives us, I think we are in for a good year.

What a boring game. Crowd barely made any noise. Wouldn't have known it was a sold out game.
It was pretty noisy where I was sitting.
Or maybe that was just me?
It was a hard game for the crowd to get excited about. So many errors from both sides and so stop start.
But an awesome event. The crowd was huge and everyone seemed to have a good time. Please Warriors HQ can we have more games in Wellington?

Thought Ford ran away from the support btw, ali ran to the other side probably why Egan couldn’t catch up, need to work on what they wanna do when a break happens, we have weapons out wide

Defense was pretty epic though too many mess ups in our half at the death and still held out

Gonna miss barney he kinda lifted the boys when he came on
