Maybe... Although if laban was the go, that would be a very inexprenced right hand side. Pompey had by far the most amount of games for that side, metcalf (26 games), Laban (7), Pompey (94), Kosi (32). So maybe if RTS was still there we could of made room for him? But otherwise kosi kinda takes that Jr spot.

I am wondering why people are expecting improvement when everything is the same.

Where have I said I expect improvement? I just don't see how we can make a call until we see it play out.

I guess if you want to have a real test of metcalf at 7, then you need to give him a good body guard. So i'd assume the first half is testing metcalf, then once laban is subbed on we have a control to contextualize the change.

Can't see him hogging minutes over the more fancied 2nd rowers in that game, but could be the case.

Said metcalf will be the main one calling the shots but yeah the per side halves strategy can lead to a lot of confusion esp for a pair who have hardly played together.
