Storm throw spanner in Panthers’ Vegas preparations
Last year’s beaten grand finalists have prompted their conquerors to spike their final hit-out before flying to Las Vegas for the season opener.
Few bears players coming with storm, Nate Roache too. Sounds like storm playing some games, lucky sharks facing panthers with Cleary, Edwards and others not playing any game time before round 1 in Las Vegas

Played well on DWZ’s wing when replaced him but agree halves is worth a look. Kicks a bit in nsw cup so is something that isn’t really being utilised where he’s being played presentlyWould like to see Taine have a good run at FB …. (or 6)

Taine and Pompey pulling out of the All Star Game, so just leaves Fish, Laban and Charnze away
Berry (Shoulder), Dallin (Wrist), and Ford (Knee) injured, will add Barnett (Cuts) and Kosi (Ass) to that myself
Realtively pointless to guess a preseason teamlist, but will give it a stab anyway..

Not roger at fullback – I know that makes the most sense if taine was pulled from all stars for injury reasons, but he needs a game on the wing.
Some combination of Deion and MGT in the outside backs – they will end up playing this year – the younger guys seem way to raw.

Mostly the same forwards, never sure what benefit old players like Capewell get from a trial, minimise the chance of him picking up another injury. Barnett similar, though he seems more durable, Walker and Egan tempting to wrap them in cotton wool, but without their ball playing the whole thing probably falls apart. More minutes for Ale, Ford and Halasima (if available)

Wouldn't be tempted to give Hanson another run in the halves? Thought he was pretty good given his extremely limited time last week.

I feel we have a longer-term investment in Jett with him having the three-year deal, while Hanson only has this year with an option on '26 (Not sure who's favour that option is in)
Probably seems a bit backwards, but since Hanson will already be getting most of the games in NSW Cup between the two of them, My thinking is we may as well run Jett against NSW Cup Quality opposition while we can before he is sent to Flegg.
That said, it didn't even cross my mind that Pompey and Taine were pulled out of the ASG due to injury, I just assumed it was to get more time with the team.. If that is the case, I'd probably put Chanel at FB, and open up a spot for both Jett and Luke H to get a run again.
Don't play RTS at fullback as he will be winger at the Vegas game - he should start at 5.
Play TT, CHT or one of the young guys at #1. I assume that CNK may have a rest??
