Oh for sure.

I guess I was more getting at the vibes. You know when you just see things coming right for a team. All the pieces fall into place, all the players just look like they're on another level.

Injuries don't really affect them all that much. Media doesn't affect them. They are locked in and on the same frequency.

Everyone at the club is operating at peak levels at the minute, which I've NEVER seen before (Bare in mind I wasn't around for 2002)
The depth seems okay at the moment but if Fish was to succumb to further injury/suspension, I think we could be in some trouble. You can't beat experience and leadership so the pack runs in unison. Kurt Capewell would be a good choice in these circumstances while Roco or Lautitia could fit back in at left centre.

I was in the camp that thought TMM to 7 & LM to 6 was our best option.
After Vegas I said we would be in for a very long hard season.

Glad to be proven wrong. :D
I admit I didn't see Luke as a 7 but as a 6. He has surprised me in a good way. I thought TMM would play at 7 with Channel on the bench but the latter continues to impress at 6 with his defence and kicking skills. TMM is proving strong off the bench in the last 20 minutes. All in all, the best combination of halves and replacement hooker.

It's good to see Demi already growing into a little leader, even if it's just team songs or killing it on the field.

Crazy he was overshadowed by Leka and the last 2 weeks he's given the freedom to turn into a beast

Btw I think Clark had 2 offloads and resulted in 2 tries?
Demitric seems like the character in the team replacing Jazz, even refs seem to affectionately call him Demi. These young guys seem to be keeping the older heads fresh and youthful. Demitric and Metcalf seems to be close with their own handshake going, interesting that those two were the ones in preseason that said this year they wanted to stamp their mark on the competition

When I visited Melbourne I was shocked at how massive it was there. It was reaching fever pitch levels for some game selling out at the MCG. They get weekly crowds the NRL can only dream about. It's quite evident though that the expansion clubs into N S W and Q L D have attracted little interest. Never been to a live game but can see the appeal. It's a difficult watch on TV though.

Edit: I will say difficult watch as you need to see where all of the players are positioned on an oval to get perspective, whereas for union and league it's mostly a line that progresses up and down the rectangular field.
AFL will often hold up their crowds as a source of pride but it is a much better product to watch live as you see a lot more of the build up in plays that you miss on TV, whereas NRL is a much better TV product.
My old works HQ was in Melbourne so went to a couple of games through work and it was fun for the novelty of it, but it really is quite cult like in VIC and WA in particular to the point of them being a bit sheltered that other sports exist. Got to meet a few players through work and my VIC/WA Colleagues were star struck and gobsmacked I had not the slightest clue who they were.

To be fair to AFB the Sharks didn't exactly make it easy for him to maximise his skillset. Lots of one-off hitups with no support. It gave our pack free reign to gang up on him. Brailey and McInnis are good at what they're being asked to do but they don't really unlock the middle-third for them the way Egan and Tohu/Walker did for him.

Nowadays Clark isn't trying to replicate Tohu or Walker. But our pack as a whole are more egalitarian and willing to give a short pass, or Egan chooses to give the ball to the second runner, so that the lead runner doesn't get ganged up on lol. Walker too has had a great impact on the Eels off the bench. Their record might not show it but Walker's inclusion has been huge for them alongside Moses returning from injury.

Plenty will remember 'The Hair Bears' - inspirational in Penriths 2003 premiership.

Demi & Leka are this I'm telling you!
