As a kiwi, I've never seen why there's a pissing competition. League vs. Union makes more sense, as they are variations of the same game.

There's room for both AFL and NRL, for those who like them.

I bet most of the attention will actually be on Brisbane "being back" rather than us announcing ourselves as contenders. Just ridiculous that Brisbane premiership odds actually shortened more in dollar terms ($26 to $17) than us ($15 to $9.50) over the weekend.

They have a weird format, talk up the team winning then spend a minute on the losing side as if they're attending a funeral lol, that change of tone still gives me whiplash

I just stop paying attention whenever they talk about a losing team.

You're right, it's absolutely depressing and a sure fire bet is that they'll be moping over the Sharks season... just like everyone else has been.

I'm actually surprised that DK has such a soft spot for us given his bad experience with us as a player which he has been very public about.
