Injury, is ready to go for Round 1 if required.
TBH I have us bottom 4 this year. Preseason games do not mean much but it did show some promise for our season. Young guys all stepping up and some of our experienced guys looking sharp. The LM/CHT combo looked good but against a FG side with better defence who knows. Really liked what Clark offered. Niukore finally looked like he might play this year. Leka will be a special player he is giving me Nanai vibes.
We are still thin in the backs though. On paper our halves are looking up but our main halves LM/TMM (TMM is just not a 6) combined last year did not play a full season. If we have less injures this year especially for LM we just might make the 8.

Absolutely. I don’t want Walker starting. I want him fresh.
When I see other members teams I sit there and think. Who’s going to play 80 minutes?
I can foresee Barnett and JFH being run ragged playing 60 minutes every game.
Erin can’t play 80 can he? He looked stuffed when he came off. (Was good though)

Egan is to injury prone not to carry a hooker on the bench.
I’d play either Barnett or Demetric at 13. But if you do that. Erin’s not even on the bench.
Or…..
Ford can be a 80 minute “workhorse” 13. Then double barrel Walker and Erin off the bench.

Though blowing out reserve graders in a trial (feat. Uitokomanu (who’s always been a cat)) shouldn’t be frothed over - it was the purple filth - so loved it.
Sua Faalogo was sub-walsh level in defence, he’s been mentioned as a future target seeing as paps is still there - no thank you. Their number 7 got bounced almost every time.
TMM is a very disrespected player, creates a lot in a position he hasn’t touched in 2 years, and now we need to give his halves spot to known choker CHT?
Season basically hinges on Metcalfs health, this could be a real breakout, he's doing things at twice the speed of the crippled SJ we had last year

Utoikamanu 16 run metres in 40 minutes. Bellamy going to want more from him. Some saying not much to rave about given the storm was well under strength, but we played much of the second half with a well under strength team and they only managed a try from a kick to the corner and one with Doyle caught out at the end. Tuaupiki bombed one in the second half. Line defence was fantastic
