Post Match Pre Season Trial 2- Warriors vs Storm

It wasn't mentioned in the commentary. I am thinking he went off for a cut.

I thought he got cut. I saw him grab his head coming out of the tackle a few minutes before he went off. I thought I saw a glimpse of something on his head before he got up.

A game last night the side left a guy on after a head knock. Trials with unlimited interchange it would be best to be cautious. Take advantage of the unlimited interchange.
I was sitting above the tunnel. He went up it just before half time with a bandage around his head, some kids asked for a high five but he declined them and shown them his hands. Im assuming there was blood on them

He’d probably play Healey over Bunty but I suspect this could be the team

- Pompey is he ready?
- Luke took one run and would have been sent to HIA, hasn’t played a full game at 7 still
- Pulling Kosi for Taine, and trial TMM there who shined

Might well see CNK at centre for Pompey, Taine best wing option and TMM maximized value from the back, and plays 7 when Luke does something mid game as usual

Like how confident are we if Luke pulls something and CHT or CNK is our 7 lol

Last year we were a top meter eater team, but couldn’t convert into points, came 13th.

Tonight the spine gelled well, created opportunities, and caused problems for the defence.

TMM to fullback
+ 15 creativity points
- 5 meter eater points

We need a spine that provides multiple points of attack and multiple threats. There was a real balance to this spine.

Plus there’s a left centre spot up for grabs that CNK could slide into. A CNK/RTS combo could be pretty deadly.

So, on the back-line - I think it will be extremely surprising if we see TMM at FB, given the option of CNK -- however, it really squares a circle hey? I've been in the camp of getting TT back there, and in the absence of an obvious starter for the other centre spot [Ali, is a lock for his] it seems pretty obvious to me that you slot Charnze in there - the Dallin injury means you also have to solve that, and it has almost definitely been done with Taine -- hence TMM at the back, which we then see brings something that we've been lacking overall, another ball-playing pivot which allows more time on the inside for LM and CHT, without losing something in defence (as good as TT is there he does get monstered sometimes)... it's intriguing and I really would like to see it again, especially with a potentially even more dominant pack - just think it's probably not likely

It gives Webby an excuse while Dallin is out and gets all his playmakers on the field.

HOW far we go this season depends much on Luke ... if he plays the whole season like he's been playing these warm-up matches ..along with no other major player injuries to key areas then I think we could make the 8 ... 7th-8th etc ... but if like last season we get smashed in injuries then bottom 4 ....some great signs from some of the young guns ...only wish the storm would play more than second string side ... our team could well all play FG footy this year.. I guess some teams don't want the injury risks in these pre season games but then again great warm-up to hit the first round with some combos working IMHO I think we could tip up the raiders

No mention of ‘Dancing’ Bunty Afoa and some of his footwork just before the line! 🥰
bunnnttttiii da man, epitome of what it is to be a warrior, a man fighting against adversity, only talent he has is the ability to keep slogging away never giving up, persevering, dam anyone else would have given up ages ago, gotta love the dude, he is the toughest mentally at the warriors - no one tougher chiihoo!

I do like CNK up in the line ... I can't recall how he's gone on the wing ? .... also always wonder how a FIT berry would go at the back

was good to see our fullback linking both sides(should be the case but we haven’t done that with webby).

And hoping we chance our arm this year, like we did today was good to watch.
agree, liked what tmm was doing from fback on attack and d too, however cnk also can do that too, if we have cnk do that from center, have best of both worlds and have have tmm tackling prowess too.

Charnze is FB. You're honestly dreaming if you think otherwise sorry man.

He and TMM off contract at the end of the year, so now’s the time to go one way or another. CNK shifted plenty last year, so not sure he’s got that fullback spot locked? I think without DWZ in the side at the moment, that CNK’s impact lessens because I think CNK has the most impact with him in the side and I think TMM, Tuaupiki and Leiataua have got something cooking from time together in nsw cup. Think if Tuaupiki can make a go of it on the wing, the club would be over the moon but also need to consider that when he’s up against someone with the height that he did yesterday that he’s often going to be up against. Easy enough to fix though I think, in that defence needs to be able to slide from side to side and just make sure Leiataua is in and around with his height
