I don't think he has gone backwards, it is just a current limitation of his - he is young and still learning the game. He needs (at least) a full year in Cup like our other young bucks have had. He's had 13 games (plus two pre-season stints) playing against men.

I honestly thought Cleary was just a novelty signing to help out Ivan. He looked fine last week, but I have to say watching him closely today, I think we have something there. He has plenty of time, looks organised, and executes well for someone so young who has had limited opportunities in the last 12 months.

He is pretty exciting to be honest.

I thought Ale, Ford and Healy all looked good in the 2nd half and are likely all fighting it out for one spot on the bench.

I'd probably lean towards someone like Ale over Halasima for the first game. Halasima still very raw and while he has a higher ceiling than Ale, I think you probably want a little bit more consistency for the first game?

In my mind, it depends on whether Webby decides to carry a utility or a bench hooker on the bench.

Walker and two props/middles are a lock (Vaimauga/Bunty/Ford/Niukore/Ale), and then its Healy (service needs work) or Niukore/Halasima (I like Niukore in the middle, so would have Halasima in that spot given he can also cover centre).

That'd be an interesting debate. There is potential for 10 years+ of magic from these fellas though. They are very exciting. Love Barney and Fish, the young guys will need everything they bring to our team to be the best they can be.

I just love the mix of these 4 together. Absolutely perfect.
