I have said it before, if we are serious about winning the premiership we need 2 NSW cup teams so we have more choices and more depth of who to promote to the back line at this stage of the season.

A flegg team is not the same as a second cup team.

We need better players to choose from that is for sure.

Jackson Ford in 2024 - Left-edge, Right-edge, starting-prop, bench-middle

RTS in 2024 - Left-centre, Right-wing, Fullback, Right-centre, Left wing

Capewell - both edges

Marata - trained all pre-season as a middle, starts season in middle, now on the edge

Many more suspect selections and rotations etc...

It is very hard to defend Webby at the moment. He does not look like he knows what his best team is....

God I hope he can properly review this year and come back in 2025 with a bit more conviction

Hard to tell how much of that was injury enforced, from memory Marata injured his foot and went back to right edge when Capes was injured and stayed there, is that right?

i see the halves named for NSW cup are Metcalf and Hansen... curiously Te Marie wasn't named last week but played in cup, with him at 18th man in the NRL squad could we see him come in as centre with RTS going back out to the wing?
IDK, reckon he'd be a good centre and I don't get the Kosi naming

Where is NSW cup playing?

TMM at 18th man is weird

Of course he doesn’t. Injuries have fucked him all season. If anything, the lesson taught is he needs to think about his depth more when planning for the season. Prepare for the worst.

He’s got the makings of a great coach. Will be peaks and valleys along the journey.

At least he’s some one worth investing in; he’s a players coach that can build a deep connection with his players while also having authority and respect. What he got out of that playing group last year was phenomenal, this season is the other side of the coin.

He’ll build this team from the ground up, I’m guessing that’s the plan. How fast we see succsss with depend on how well we recruit and develop young talent.

And how quickly Webby learns from his mistakes.

Seems like a waste of time having TMM at 18th man. If he isn't playing first grade then he should be half in NSW cup.
yeah, that was my thought - which is why I don't think this is the settled run out team - TMM played predominantly right side stand off last week in cup (hoping i'd go back and see him standing at centre, but no)

I hope Sifakula gets a game in FG this season.

I'm not upset about MGT. Our centres were awful last week, Webby can't accept that. Dolphins have some good backs. Unfortunately we don't have any options, so it is a revolving door of mediocrity. I'm glad he hasn't tried to plug a gap with Metcalf or TMM, and instead treats them as specialists.

TMM might be a late inclusion, playing him at centre is some Olympic level mental gymnastics though, but I commend you for your efforts to come up with a way of getting rid of Kosi

Chucking TMM or Metcalf into centre would be bottom of the barrel
