General Warriors SG Ball 2025

Looking forward to seeing Capper bounce back after last week, with a strong centre combination. Hiraka in the second row will be interesting to see, and the 17, Tepatasi, looks like a big unit who would have been handy to have in the side last week!

Hiraka in the back row is an interesting selection.

Penrith started well and then we compounded it by throwing a long ball in our own 20, which was dropped in front of the sticks. Put pressure on ourselves early again.

Good break from Purcell followed by a chip and regather from Jensen almost comes off.
Penrith march down field and then Bowden drops the kick in goal. The boys are back under pressure with a drop out.

Penrith back attacking our line, with a grubber forcing another drop out.

A few errors by the both teams, with Filipo going close before Maui puts too much on a high kick to the corner.

Attacking Penrith's line now. Gotta keep the pressure on here. Purcell has looked good in the centres - very strong with ball in hand.

Did I jinx it? We give away an offside penalty and their 12 (Heinz Lemoto - Australian schoolboy) breaks through down the middle. Now we're defending our own line.

Penrith hooker dives over to the right of the posts. Will likely be 4-12 with 10 to play in the first half.

Another drop out after Penrith put a kick on straight from the scrum, but Davidson-Faaiuaso gets their first. More pressure with 5 to go in the half

Penrith's winger (who would easily be over 6 foot, so a big height mismatch with Davidson-Faaiuaso) plucks a crossfield kick out of the air and puts it down in the corner before being bundled into touch.

4-16 with 3 to play. Not out of it yet, just need to complete and stop putting pressure on ourselves with errors/penalties.

Back to back penalties (crusher tackle -mild at best - and offside) give Penrith the chance to go up by more than two converted tries at the break.

4-18 halftime score.

Panthers making easy metres through the middle. Need to tighten up the ruck or this game is going to get away from us.

Purcell drops a ball in traffic on Penrith's line after a good run of play, helped by a penalty to get down field.

But then Penrith busy through our middle again with a break and a couple of offloads, before their grubber goes dead.

A good shift off a scrum on our own line draws a penalty when Penrith try to drag us over the sideline. Need to capitalise on this field position
