Getting beaten physically here. Manly seem to be able to push through our tackles or stand and offload. Warriors were in trouble until the last few minutes. Think Warriors coaches will be pretty happy to only be 6 points down.

Definitely - Manly look much better technically, with the ball and on D. We finally got a penalty for them slowing down the ruck later in the first half. The Manly coach has his team playing fast with the ball to get us on the back foot, and slowing us down at the ruck.

We got some ascendancy though once we held onto the ball, but that was while Manly's 10 was off. When he's back on, we should aim to work him over on D, and stop their 9 from running.

Will be interesting to see how coach Rushworth responds in the second stanza.

Capper is too much of a show pony. Absolutely embarrassing game as the captain

Capper strikes me as a back three player, playing centre. Lots of side steps, but looks big enough to put his foot down and power through the line I'd we wanted to, which would be more suited to an edge or out the back.

But Pauling has looked pretty solid out the back, and Purcell definitely has his wing locked down.

Manly score under the posts after a they pounce on a grubber unchallenged.

Before that we had some solid goal line D after what was either a bad error from Pauling catching a bomb and taking it over the sideline or a really good kick from Manly (the wind was blowing the ball towards the sideline) - if it was the former, I'm unsure why the team weren't calling for him to leave it. It's tough going being a fullback - poor buggers.

Manly up 22-14 with 12 to play.
