Game finishes 28-14. Tough day out for our SG Ball boys - Manly were clinical, but we had periods of dominance when we played smart footy.

Capper was definitely trying hard - lots of runs/work, he was just having a 'quicksand' day where he just couldn't get out of first gear. He'll be better for it. Big game next week!

He's got a lot on his shoulders being a future club legend at his age. I remember the pressure from the year I won the most improved trophy in under 8's, always fighting the imposter syndrome within.

How did Ratcliffe go? I feel like he's better suited at fullback.

Capper strikes me as a back three player, playing centre. Lots of side steps, but looks big enough to put his foot down and power through the line I'd we wanted to, which would be more suited to an edge or out the back.

But Pauling has looked pretty solid out the back, and Purcell definitely has his wing locked down.

Agree, surely go Capper to fullback. Bowden or Wikitera to center.

Only watched the highlights today but haven't really been that impressed by Pauling for St Thomas.

Pauling was pretty good but probably lacks a yard of pace to ever kick on.

Compton was just solid. Him and Hiraka combined well defensively.

No real stand outs in this game imo.
