General NSW Cup 2025

I didn't see the whole game but MGT looks like the best back in NSW cup, I think he should be next winger up and maybe considered for centre. Way better than Harper on both offence and defence. He's more of an attacking centre, good nose for the line.
Laban looked good, seemed Bunty is looking fresher too.
I love the thought of Crosby, but on the edge like suggested above. Crosby is a high IQ player I think, can run good lines and has great pace. It seems his biggest issue is that he has a lot of fast twitch muscle, and lacks a bit of endurance. Best to be on an edge I think, but I'm not a coach.
TMM is our best playmaking half, get him into the topside, not perfect but creates space and puts players into holes regularly, even when he's a little off.

Yes he is, but what I'm saying is, I think he's a guy worth developing over a harper type.

And when opportunities arise i would like them to go to him over some others.

But hey, maybe fonz is right on the competition front, amd it's good he's at least holding his own in that cup team.

MGT is awesome in Cup. But whenever he's stepped up to 1st grade he's been bog average. Which doesn't say much when you consider Kosi keeps getting a run.

Harper and Kosi have shown over multiple years that they aren't there. They have had more consistent runs in first grade, while MGT has had sporadic chances. I am not saying he is awesome, but he is better than the others and should be next in line.

I guess there's a bigger gap for our young fellas (MGT and co) between cup and 1st grade... more than what we all think.
The 1st graders in cup are waiting for a recall, meanwhile keeping match fit and encouraging the young fella they play beside...

I didn't feel like he was bad. I remember a try saving tackle and him doing decent. His hit ups at times were average or a bit below but certainly not as risky as Taines (I am not advocating for Taine to be dropped). Whatever happens I just think he is better than Harper/Kosi and has more attack in him than Pompey. Be nice to see him develop, even as a decent winger.
