I know a lot of people have great hype for young guns in the lower grades, but I've always said, unless you are killing it in cup as a youngster then who cares!

These kids are all trying to swim to the top, not all will make it, so when these guys do, they are the ones to get excited about!

Eddy Toeava looks like the next one, for me it's just focus on who's making the cup team each week.

Conversely the more we have, the more chance one becomes a super star.

Ive had RTS penciled in at wing since last season. Releasing Monty without a signing was a indicator for me

I'd be super surprised if it's any position other than wing or fullback.

I really think back to that sharks game last year and what CNK produced at centre. Could Tuaupiki be the starting fullback?

Just think back to when Vaimauga was 17 and playing for redcliffe in the covid days to this pre season!

I was waiting for him patiently last season and of course knew he was coming back from an ACL injury. I thought to myself (unless i have posted)

If he comes back from an ACL and plays nrl this year (2024) this kid is going to be somthing special!

Now you could say injury's paved the way for him, but we had a fully fit Bunty Afoa and this guy was picked! That is fucken impressive for the coaching staff to see this guy coming back from an ACL was hungry to get out there and bang heads.

He looked to me like a kid playing with his favorite toys out there! When he scored that try in that dolphins game at suncorp, I think he flicked a switch.

He's my fucken guy! Him And Ali Leiataua all the way!!!!

I really hope Zyon Maiu’u kicks on also, not sure what's keeping him back at this stage, but I hope he can get going this season and take it another level.

65 minute mark Demetic sent to the Sin Bin for excessive handbags in an in melee.
Where the legend part happens is he walks on his way to the sinbin past the Panthers bench, flips them the bird, and tells them all to go and get fucked. The Panthers bench are so freaked out by what a loose unit he is they all go silent and just take it.

The forum that evening goes into delirium that we have a new Kevin Campion hard man in the making. And he has never looked back since.

Also wrighty! The man just closed a 4 year contract! That says a lot to me on what the club thinks of this guy! This guy is no joke.

A lot of guys seem to be looking trimmer. Demetric noted in his resigning interview he’s trimmed down and feels more mobile and more energetic.

Tbh i liked the bulked up Demetric version.....he looked beast asf and seemed a handful for the opposition,

With no Addin i want there to be someone who can significantly dent that defensive line.

It will be interesting to see how many SG ball players make the cup side this season, it seems to quite a few over the last two seasons.

I'm picking as the nest few years roll on it will become harder to crack that cup side.

with Erin, Metcalf, Walker, Demetric I definitely think an up-tempo approach is the way to win. Cant force yourself to be the best but you can force yourself to be the fittest.

One of our downfalls last year was that we were a known quantity and we couldn't sustain our top gear for the full games. If we can do that we will destroy everybody and everybody else too. Fitter and a bit younger hopefully means a better application of our best.
