General Warriors Preseason 2025

I'm not sure I like it personally, think the crowd needs their own thing and the team their own thing.
Wouldn’t imagine it gets a go ahead without the team being onboard with it being it’s something the team shares together like a bonding session, so if they’re happy with it, I don’t see much wrong. Always gave me the impression with the gusto it’s sung with in the dressing rooms, it was as much about rubbing the other teams nose in it being down the hall listening. Especially when it’s teams with historic rivalries. Like when a press conference is happening and the losing coach is listening to the racket, you can see the dismay. Feel like it must be like that on steroids listening to a packed stadium doing it. Would rather it done only in victories if that hasn’t been the case though. Each to their own

Despite a season where we didn’t do well results wise, the club must be doing something right to be the first club to sell out all home games in creating an entertaining atmosphere. Will be interesting to see the flow on this season, but it seems alterations only need be minimal

I see Tanah Boyd has a mutual option for 2026, so either way his situation seems like one where he needs to impress, and one where he wouldn’t block any paths to up and comers or recruits? Hanson hasn’t looked at all out of place in nsw cup and though not big, tackles at 90%. Really good stats but another that doesn’t seem to possess much of a long kicking range? Seems like he could become an organiser to me though? Interesting he and Jett Cleary have a history, and also thought it interesting the signing of Haami Loza at age grade. Having come from the knights where we picked up a highly regarded Jack Thompson, are we picking halves that have played together in some capacity or coincidence to both examples?
I thought the same about him being an organiser, I didn’t want to say it in original post …is there a touch of Ronnie V about him but with more of a willingness to take on the line?

Exactly why we shouldn't do it.
A half-time rendition invites Fate/Complacency/etc to take the field give our asses a serious kicking in the second half...

HT renditions of the chant should be VERBOTTEN!

I see your point, but that needs someone or several someones to create the crowd song/chant, teach us the song/chant and - most important - make sure enough people like it enough to do it. For example, someone decades ago decided to take the chorus from "Hey Jude" and replace "Hey Jude" with "Warriors". It was fine length-wise, but it was too slow, not "up" enough and it did not take off as a crowd chant.

If the team are happy for us to sing the same song they do, I'm fine with it (and anyway, we don't sing the same song, there's has a certain expletive in it! :)).

Have we signed Haami Loza?
