General Warriors Harold Matthews 2025

Hansen has definitely put on some size.

Just had a couple of sets on Manly's line and couldn't score, then gave away a piggy back penalty to get them out of their end.

We make it really hard on ourselves coming out of our own end. Kicking hasn't been great either.
Lucky that D has been relatively solid.
Boys will be looking forward to the half time break.

Think we're lucky to not be behind at halftime considering the amount of errors we've made, luckily Manly have made a couple too, Neal has been using his size well but has given away a few penalties. I think our #3 Keepa has had some nice defensive reads as well.

Can't fault effort, but man error riddled and ill disciplined.

I'm guessing we didn't scout this 7 because of his kicking game. Would've taken that Jacques Burke kid, kicks toperdo bombs like Burton and can kick a mile for distance.

Looks hot as hell though, happy to be watching from air conditioned lounge.

Both centres have been strong defensively - which has been positive.

If we can tidy up errors and discipline, we should be big enough to get over the top of them. Just need to play a bit smarter!

Lucky break there - Manly player loses the ball on the ground after getting his nose through. They had the ball after, yet another, dropped ball coming out of our own end...

When we hold the ball, we make big metres with our size! Just need to get a roll on, rather than offload at our own end!

Our 7 dives over from dummy half - good to capitalise on some field position.

Can't help but think we've got two standoffs in the halves. Our game revolving around running at the moment, so can hopefully build int some kicking and variety over what is a pretty short competition (as not all sides will be as small as Manly is).

Great try after a penalty - good roll on through the forwards - which Manly couldn't contain - and Marriott dives over to the right of the posts.

What should be 18-6 with 16 to go.

Some of these bench middles have brought real energy and helped us play more direct. Which is good because our edge shifts have been pedestrian.

Yeah that Fanolua kid (15) runs hard. Not quite Paleaasina like (keeps messing up his timing on the kick off runs) - but very hearty carries!

Manly scores in the right hand corner after a good shift - winger should have held on his man as Keepa had his man covered, who then offloaded to the unmarked Manly winger.

18-10 with 11 to go

Warriors force an error. Our right side centre skips out of a tackle, gets up and offloads to the 7, who ducks under the cover tacklers to score his second in a similar spot to his first.

Big kick - but has been good of the boot thus far.
