We have Manly very frustrated now and are making metres with ease (and piggy back penalties). Although we do struggle to find out front at times.

Looks really good too, and will only get better too. He is one of the ones who gets caught upright in tackles (after making metres though to be fair).

28-10 win. Solid start to the title defence - a bit to work on, but promising start when both on the road and in the heat!

Solid first outing, I thought the middles off the bench had great impact, especially the 15. Bishop is a nightmare for right side defences, he just needs to eliminate the lazy errors.

Good first up win. How good is it to have a few really tall lads come through they can also play. Lucian looks about the same height as Neal. The other backrower dougal has some size about him. The bench backrowers were enormous and changed the game. Also Lemana at the back has a bit about him also.

He and his brother turn 17 mid year. Year 12 at St Kent’s this year. He’s a bit taller than 190 now though.

They started with two losses and a win at the death in their third game last year so today was a great start. They handled the heat well considering Auckland’s shit summer. No real pre season games meant some clunky play but the team will gel. Penrith next week will be a much tougher test. Either the 3 or 6 will most likely be off to the judiciary this week.

Sharks took it to Penrith. They have the biggest player at something like 6’5 or 6’6 and also the fastest boy in Australia who ran the 100 in 10.44 as a 16 year old. He was insanely fast on the kick chase against Penrith. The Sharks smashed our full team, including the Aussie half, 40-10 before our finals run last year.
