General Warriors Harold Matthews 2025

Anyone know anything about #17 Alapati Soagia? Thought he was playing rugby and never knew he had ever played league. Great rugby player. If he plays as well in League he'll be one to watch...
Head boy at St Peter’s Cambridge, and 1st 15 captain I think. He’s a decent sprinter and was player of the PYC tournament for Toa in 23. Hasn’t played much league since then that I know of.

This team has got to be the favourites to repeat. Absolutely stacked.

Neal is going to get so much attention across the ditch playing in this grade. He's going to absolutely dominate. Pretty scary that he'll likely go from U17 to NSW cup in one season.

Agree on Dougal Grant, very tall frame for an U17, he's at least 6'4

Lemana at fullback will carve up.

Sacred Heart center Ma’asi looks a talent as well

First look at the Mikaele twins as well. Lucian especially was very good for St Kents.
Penrith are favourites at this stage, they have forwards the size of Bishop. Dougal would be 6’2.

He was injured. He definitely would've played otherwise

Lemana is even slightly younger than Bishop and played a full season last year
You are right about him being injured, but I definitely remember talk about letting him stay in Christchurch rather than traveling to Auckland unlike Lemana who is Auckland based.

How long until the forum start stalking about them like the Kepu brothers?

Yep anyone know if this 7 is any good? Watch a fair bit of junior footy but can't say I've seen much of this kid.
He was injured in the win on the hooter against South’s last year which turned their season around after 2 losses.

Otara boy who played all the jr reps etc.

Cannot wait for these boys! To anyone complaining about paying the subscription how about some support for these boys aye it's not much to ask.
It's pretty reasonable, the only issue for me is when subscribing you get to choose an organization that part of the fee goes directly to, but there are no NZ options. I ain't sending my money to an Aussie club so chose NSWRL TV instead.

Tyson Hanson was the same year as Lemana and Neal, travelling from Rotorua for each game.

It wouldn't have been any hassle to chuck him on the same flight Lennox Tuiloma was on each week .

I saw a lot of Tyson Hanson in 2024 at club and rep level live.
He is a real up and comer.
Can control a game as a half or 6.
If he gets to a decent size I see a Cam Murray clone with the ball skills and attacking game.

I know him very well. Deadly touch player, tough as nails. Likely to be the starting 6 by the end of season. Club has huge wraps on him and tried lock him up long term but he's kept his options open for now.
