General Warriors Harold Matthews 2025

Roll balls getting longer in Matts too, which is good. Penrith threw away a good attacking opportunity after a good break from an offload.

Penrith winger then dropped it after a Hansen kick under pressure

Penrith score in the corner after shifting it left - the winger was too strong for the cover D and muscles over in the corner.

10-4 with the kick to come and 15 to go

After a couple of big runs, Penrith hooker (?) breaks through a few tackles and score to the left of the sticks.

10 all with 9 to play

One of those big runs looked like a head clash after a solid hit from L.Mikaele (both players with a HIA, and the Penrith prop out to it), but ended up a penalty to the Panthers.

Must have been the kind of penalty that Salmons should have got penalised for last year when we played the Dogs...

Just like the script used for our top side. Warriors get a couple tries up, then a string of penalties to Penrith and magically scores are tied. May be justified here. Hard to tell with this patchy feed, BUT can almost set your alarm to when the penalties are coming against any Warriors side.

Penrith score to the left of the posts again after their prop smashed his way through our middle.

We had good scramble D to cover a shift, but then the ref called a 6-again. Their prop broke through a few tackles after they shifted back to the middle.

10-16 with a couple of mins to play in the first half

Warriors hold on after a dropped ball from a kick and a penalty (another strip call... Penrith not holding onto the ball...).

10-16 halftime.

Thought Hansen and Ma'asi have looked ok. Bishop Neal virtually invisible most of the half
Penrith have got up quick on Neal with ball in hand, which has limited his time and opportunities. Needs to push in for a run and/or be given early ball to get the confidence up.
Almost scored an epic try in reeling in the chip and chase.

Warriors score to the right of the posts as the bench hooker bustles over from close range.

Penrith threw away a couple of opportunities with forced offloads. Would have scored if they went to hand though. The Warriors then marched up field and scored. Should be 16-16

Penrith 6 just got benched after a talking to at halftime.

And then we drop the ball after points. Coach killer. Hope the heat isn't getting to us - it's bloody warm.

Another penalty, followed by a Panthers try as their second rower forces his way over.

Penalty was for holding down, which is rich given Penrith have been holding down every other play the ball.

16-20 with the kick to come
