It's like the black caps bowing out of a world cup.
Just when ya think the bar is set it drops back to how we used to be.
You can take a few narratives from the black caps to the Warriors as fans.
I took little interest in the black caps T20 world cup due to the team we selected. Half the team were test match players. Ravindra has no feel for T20 and it is not Kane's best format either. At least we beat Uganda that really would have been embarassing.

But back to league.

My 17 year olds first live game will be on a school trip where they're going to the Broncoes v Penrith game in a couple weeks so I got him a Warrios jersey to wear telling him there's no way he's wearing any other teams jersey to his first game.
Just got a txt from him saying he's not going on the trip if I still expect him to wear it to the game.

Why would you even want to be a junior at this club when webby just wants to stack the team with slow old seniors that need to retire? And if you’re lucky to make the bench due to injuries, he will give you fuck all minutes and just let the old men play till their exhausted so they can leave nice big holes in defence, miss heaps of tackles and do fuck all in attack.
Straight facts. Now imagine how that plays into the minds of the blokes who are up to the task. Always having to 2nd guess your team mate cos you can’t trust him to do his job.

My main fear going into this game was their speed. We'd need to scramble as they were going to make breaks. They have been getting around teams. Our problem they were going around our left, our right and through us.

It felt like we were chasing them all night. They were faster than us all over the park.

Supporting the teams are very similar as they both capitulate at the best times.

We were dogshit at the start.

Taking away a try for no actual reason at the end of the first half killed any chance of a comeback.

Then we were shit again. Then an absolute bullshit sin bin so the Titans start scoring for fun.

No chance the Titans score that absurd amount of points without the poor officiating and there is no chance that the bad officiating doesn't affect the players mindsets. When you don't know what the rules being officiated are. You have to second guess everything you do because there is a risk you will get Sin binned for a legal tackle.

Were we going to be able to mount a comeback? We will never actually know.

That challenge at the start was stupid though. While it was more dangerous than the Sim bin we got, it still wasn't a pen so a dumb challenge.
we played like shit. they played awesome. can’t blame ref for this one

Fair enough too. That’s a form of child abuse!

I feel like our heads went down the moment we challenged that head high and lost it. We packed our shit and went home right there.

Last year we defended those calls and went on with it or stuck in to it atleast due to Webby practicing and installing those scenarios.

Wonder if they've gone away from that and the head dropping and packing up has crept back in. One bad call and its like fuck it, why play

When RTS was off in the sin bin and was getting ready to come back on. Did the commentator say he's been off for a while and we will ask Lara (or whoever was on the side line) what is going on?

It sounded like they forgot he was on the bin.

Happy to be wrong. Started to pay less attention as the game went on. Seemed the best option for my mental health.

It's actually not even emotional at this point.

But Andrew Webster has every right to drop Tohu and SJ, they have not played for thier coach this year! I wouldn't even drop them to cup I would fake injuries even though they are probably broken.

I trust webby to coach the young guys more so than the older crew. There needs to be a focus on the next Gen and it needs to be free of the guys holding the team back.

Tohu
SJ
Montoya
AFB
Jazz

Should all hang for this.

RTS started the shenanigans. In the first three minutes of the game it was an arm wrestle with the Warriors on top. Then RTS looked really rusty and unfamiliar with the rules by lying all over the ruck and giving them the sort of dumb penalty that lost the game for us against St George. They seemed to never look back from that penalty. I don't even know why he did it. It was a clear as day penalty where he seemed to not understand the rules of rugby league.
We then were on defence for the next twenty minutes and got exhausted.
