So basically the dragons and PNG. Dogs only if Burton leaves as they wouldn’t have the cap to sign him on his current contract?

Jamie Humphries just signed for Perth so that probably rules them out.

A prior poster had said Perth were not interested.

I tell you what I am interested in.

Metcalf to Dogs and Burton to Fullback..... at Mt Smart

The One New Zealand Warriors will make no further comment on Luke Metcalf's contractual situation until Luke or his Management have something to say.

We will, however be reaffirming that we will make no further comment on Luke Metcalf's contractual situation until Luke or his Management have something to say every Tuesday as it gives our Socials more content for fans to reaffirm their opinions on Luke Metcalf's contractual situation.

We have seen footage of the nzwarriors.com thread regarding who would be the coach to replace Brian McClennan, from mid to late 2012, which topped out at well over 100 bloody boring and repetitive pages and we intend to THRASH This Record. We expect phones to be running White Hot.

Jury is still out on Boyd for me, but there’s definitely enough there to be hopeful. I just want to see him nail those real clutch moments first — game on the line, pressure kick, field goal, closing out tight contests. We’ve all seen players look the part during a purple patch before it unraveled.

The bigger concern is the uncertainty around CHT as well. If both he and Metcalf aren’t long-term certainties, that’s a lot of responsibility on young halves who are still developing alongside Boyd, who himself still needs a full consistent season under his belt.

And while Boyd and Metcalf looked great against the Knights, it’s fair to acknowledge Newcastle were missing key players like Ponga and Brown too.

**just heard Dave Riccio on NRL360, CHT will re-sign**

Must admit Mets is good in clutch moments.

Hopefully Boyd’s confidence will lift to a new level now the battle of the 7’s has been resolved.

And maybe even higher with an origin call up 🤞
Mets would’ve had a shot to solidify his claim to the 7 if Boyd had Origin duties. Just seems like another missed opportunity before making a big decision on his future.

I do wish Mets all the best for his career going forward. Just a shame he didn’t hang in there & help take the Warriors, and himself, to a whole new level.

We haven’t seen the best of Tanah yet

He’s 25

Two more years of experience and he’ll be next level ready

I am super excited for him and the club

What do you think the Warriors should have done differently?
Ye fair call.
Just cautious, Our so called 2 best players are being released from contracts. So far he’s only had 2 shots to fight for the 7 fresh off an ACl.

And still cautious on Boyd. He’s had 6 years in the NRL before us, and 10 games with us last year and has been pretty bad through out up until now. I’ve course if he keeps building or even maintaining this form we’d be over the moon.

Also I think the writings been on the wall for a while now with Metcalf looking at his body language. Looking at Boyd and Mets n the sheds pregame they looked like strangers lol.
