Do you mean he's gone from the C word to the R word? There is real steel to Webby this year, so impressive.
I always felt he had a bit of "just happy to be here" about him but you could not deny the results so happy to run with it.
He has morphed now into a true first grade coach and just quietly has the chance to do what Ivan & Anderson could not do, multiple Top 4 finishes.
They have of course have a GF appearance, who would bet against Webby getting one of those this year?
Gould will argue he was in NZ to see some young talent. They are a development club after all.
He likely would have talked with Metcalf. Get some feelers out.
If he did move to the Bulldogs this year. It would be crazy that two years in a row they have signed a half part way through a season. More likely it will be next year as they work to free up cap space. How does Metcalf fit into their Moneyball stats they use? He did admit sometimes they look at things by instinct.
Metcalf at 7 with Galvin at 6 would be enticing for them. It would be interesting to see how it would work. Burton at 6 was sitting on one side of the field. If Galvin moved to a similar role it is a lot less ball. He might eventually get off side.
Can Ciraldo improve halves like Webster seems to be doing?
Like others have posted it have some of our young halves on the books thinking there is an opportunity now.

He better start winning soon or Gus will look for someone to blame before the board look at him.
Ultimately for whatever reason Webby changed his mind about Luke being our long term 7. If he still saw him that way he wouldn’t be leaving.
Hang around this year Luke and let’s send you off with a premiership ring!
Feel good about the way this is all panning out. Impressed with the Warriors managements stance and strategy.
Boyd is a key component in this Warriors success story, he's doing his job and doing it very well.
Metcalf might have been equally as good on his return, maybe better we'll never know.
Our strength in depth and philosophy of next man up is a revelation, as is the vibe.
As NRL 360 tonight referenced we're not afraid to let players go for the greater good and we have integrity and respect.
And this also seems to be what pissed of management (going off their statement, not being in the team list etc ).Been said a lot, but my issue is the way he went about it all.
Had he handled this better we wouldn't even know about it.
He had options. That is what grates with most people I would suggest.

Tin foil hatty, so take it with a grain of salt but...I do wonder about the latest injury.
I think Webby really wanted him to succeed, but he's spent more time out than in.
So basically the dragons and PNG. Dogs only if Burton leaves as they wouldn’t have the cap to sign him on his current contract?![]()

I think that where ever he signs they are getting a good individual player but the spotlight will be on him a hell of a lot more than he has ever been here. And ultimately fans will be expecting a marquee player and end up wondering why their team is stuttering in attack. His best case there is clearly the sharks, right?
Means a spot at rabbits might openJamie Humphries just signed for Perth so that probably rules them out.
