Good to have the injury toll easing off. It looks like we didn't pick anything up either. Although TMM was a bit of a worry for a while, but he saw out the game.

Niukore is getting some minutes under him. He has been a big loss.

Capewell. Hopefully he is over his run of injuries and we see him string some games together.

Very good win. Cowboys missing a few players and backing up from Origin but we did everything we needed to and more. Looked a little clunky at times but understandable with the number of changes.

A few things that concern me a little as we go up against genuine top teams like the Storm.

Better having Tohu off the bench but Walker is far superior in that 13 role. Tohu needs to be about 40 minutes playing time max.

With Capewell and Tohu on we looked a lot slower....

Lots to love though. 3 wins in a row and the bye. 8 points in 4 weeks and a positive points difference.

Easy A+ for me. Every single player played well. They looked cohesive and were trying different things on attack and were rewarded for it. We are playing far less predictably now and the difference is immense.

A lot of great players tonight so it's difficult to single out individuals but Jackson Ford at prop was a revelation. I think that's his spot now moving forward and Mitch is offering some punch at second row too. AFB was also superb coming back and has quashed any questions over his commitment.

Big game from the likes of CNK, Te Maire and DWZ too. Awesome stuff.

To me the big question we've had all season is why does our attack look so one dimensional.

My guess is that it could be SJ related. I'm only basing that off the last three games and so it still remains to be seen.

My counter question to you is; if SJ was out there tonight, would the team have had a field day?

To me, that's the only question that matters.

It's been debated to death the issues we were facing with many factors beyond just SJ.

Principally the attacking options were Ineffective - Ford and Capewell as lead runners wasn't good enough.

While TMM as halfback is an easy starting point for this three win streak, it starts with selection changes. AFB was playing wide against Panthers and we've gone back to Marata as well, also Barnett.

SJ not training was also a major issue, I definitely don't think he should play if he can't train.

And yes, if SJ is having a field day, the team is too - no question.

I thought Egan looked real slow also

When Lussick came on the speed quickened up significantly

SJ will have step up when he returns
He will.

Steps that every NRL tip sheet has highlighted, especially the Warriors having only one play on the fifth, a right side bomb with a Berry chase.

Which is why TMM is ripping sides apart without being the greatest half from these shores, merely a completely unreadable player which is enough to see him manage this team with a 100% win record at seven.

We had a few scoring plays that went our way that were a bit off or lucky.

The cut out pass that bounced nicely to be picked up.
The cut out pass coming off Berry's chest.
The DWZ tap back in the in goal. It is great to have one of these go our way for a change.

They went our way as we had guys in position to take advantage of it. Similar to some of the high balls we had guys up competing so things happen.

This game was probably the closest to the type of performances we were putting out last year. Need to back it up and anyone else coming in also needs to contribute at the same level.

Oh well the sack Payton on the cowboys forum will be going off.... thank fuck he passed on us and we got Webby...

Hahaha
He was classy in the presser. Bit like Webster, I thought. Doesn't get in a big huff and throw his toys out. I didn't realise the Cowboys don't have a bye until week 16, plus six origin players, four of which were backing up. He'd have every right to question it but didn't.

A great win, a team effort.
TMM has grown as a 7 and may cause selection problems, in that maybe SJ to six.
I think it is all about team balance and wonder if Roger has to wait for injury or someone to drop form.
On that form and attitude we will give the storm a stern test.

What a game, the injured army comes back to replace our "C" team and boy did they nail it.
Niukore played out of his skin for the first ten minutes, FORD was in another dimension, Capwell , Barney and Berry were playing as if their lives depended on it and AFB was outstanding while Tohu was a man rejuvenated.
Ford was probably my man of the match but CNK, Walker and Berry lifted their game to another level.
