Both Ali and Berry are right side Centres so I would expect that they would be fighting for one spot and Pompey and RTS for the other. I would have thought Ali would take the number 3 next year but after last night I am not so sure about that.

Great problem to have for us. One issue I see is that one of them will leave the end of next year if they are all healthy as they will not get many FG games.
Leiataua is fine on the left as well.

Good to know as I have only seen him play right centre or left wing.
To be fair, I’ve only seen a couple games, so maybe I’m overstating it. But he played there a bunch for Redcliffe Colts, then that’s where he played when Berry and him were together in NSW Cup, and he also had that great game against the Bunnies NSW Cup team where he played in the halves and scored twice down the left hand side.

Rts should take Montoyas wing spot tbh. Before last night he has been kinda mud for months ever since he re signed with the club.
100%. RTS and DWZ will be the wingers with Berry and Pompey centres. Montoya as injury cover. Not a bad backline albeit probably too much money being spent on wingers but with our cheap centres going well that should be OK for a couple of years.

Can’t see RTS playing wing. Our structure is for our wingers to do the 1st 2-3 hit ups from the back per set, before the bigger boys in the middle get involved. Do see us bringing RYS here for that role. His step and his pass are gonna be lethal for us next season

Easy one for me.
I’m surprised Rogers not even getting a look in at Fullback, CNK’s good for us but he’s no RTS, Can’t see him ever winning a Dally m at fullback. Not too fussed either way
After all CNK has done for us this season. And you still doubt the man? His work rate is incredible! Defensively sound. Organisers our defense well. Makes plenty of yards. Takes plenty of hitups, Gives our forwards time to regenerate. Is a awesome backline link with set plays. He just doesn't have rogers fancy feet. He has a tendency to run sideways sometimes with set plays. But he's working on that.

To me, Rts can play anywhere he wants in the backline. Except fullback. We've got stability there already. Roger can patch up the weaker spots where needed.

Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

hope yr wrong about Taine -

personally would love to see Ali with more 1st grade, he's beast

Don’t forget Metcalf and cht can play fullback as well
As can dwz
We don’t need taine and there is no meaningful role for him here let him go to the dolphins

Our outside backs look deep without taine

Cnz full back
Metcslf fullback wing half
Rts centre fullback wing
Pompey centre wing
Berry centre
Ali centre
Williame centre
Montoya wing centre
Dwz wing centre
Kosi wing
Cht fullback half

Taine not needed

That said Webster all but indicated he would be resigned in an interview two months ago

Tmm can also play fullback

That’s about eleven guys offering outside back coverage which should be enough

I reckon our best 13 at start of next year had to have rts in it and he has experience at wing and fullback. We have good centres, good fullback, one good wing and one average one. It's a no brainer for me, shore up the weakest position particularly as that's where he can play.
I also doubt he is a better centre defender than either of our existing options, defense first.
