I'm getting only 28 from the forum list ... is the 29th Clark?

Team socials were a bit confusing around the extensions when they announced for TSS, Going, and Pasikala all at the same time, so Pasikala was put down as a development deal

But I have updated Pasikala to the FG list this morning after reading about what Cappy said.

No. 29 must be Clark, but I try not to put anything on there that isn't put out there by the club yet (like Setu Tu being upgraded to Top 30 per SENZ, but the club/NRL.com not posting it)

Cappy specifically stated that 29 of the 30 were locked in for 2025. Who that is is anyone's guess but we only have one spot left.

The club had to jump through hoops to even get one chartered plane for Vegas. NRL actually cancelled a Qauntas flight as they didn't believe we would even fill up one plane. Air NZ wanted desperately to charter another one but all their planes are booked for March and to take one out of service has dire consequences for the entire schedule down the line. Basically its impossible.

Recorded the whole thing except the opening line of Anthony Gellings intro poem.

Intro: Anthony Gelling
MC: Monty Betham
Panel: Cameron George, Andrew Webster and Andrew McFadden

Did Gelling stand up and give us some betting odds for the weekend's games? I hope not. I hate that when he does that

Win....just win mate.

I get they want the "experience " to come with all the bells n whistles and more power to that.....end of the day tho fans want a team that performs.
We've had winning seasons that didn't capture what's taken place at the home games this year.

So I think focussing on this aspect and building on it is is worthy by CG. It's pretty huge how connected the fans are at the moment - I'd hate for that to dissipate.
We were the first club to ever sell out a whole year. All the off field business has been moving the club to new levels. Shit we've lost so much.

It's the football departments responsibility to get the wins.

Agree it all matters.

There's a winning rugby team (Chiefs) 5 mins walk from my house but I'd never go because the product and atmosphere is shit and I don't want to listen to fucking Sweet Caroline ever again.

But I'll drive up to Auckland every home game even knowing we were still likely to lose because the game day experience at Mt Smart is a blast and TV just doesn't do it justice.

100% the club have managed to capture and bottle what we've all felt is special about the club and game.
Theres something about being in that crowd from all walks of life, surrounded by the colours, with the signs.

Its interesting seeing 2002 or 03, 2010/11 footage and the south stand is completely empty. It'd be a shame to go back to that when the club have raised the bar so much.

One interesting thing that got lost in all the noise was that the club have purchased land on O'Rourke Rd and plan to build an excellence centre there for their pathways system. Pretty big news IMO...
I’ve played footy out at Concord last couple of weekends and it’s a really nice set up that the Tigers have just opened, great to see the club are keeping up with what other clubs are getting

The DJ? What was the question?
Basically,” maybe I’m getting old but why do you have the DJ on during the games”

He said something like , “ I’m old too but that is what young people want and the sell out crowds are evidence that they love it ( and the DJ)”

Many of the people present were older ( +60) and most agreed that the DJ was not needed .

In saying that the DJ has definitely toned it down from his first game , where we got a lot of negative feedback.

Really like the honesty from Webster that always seems to come across. Far from happy with his coaching performance this year and lessons learned by the sounds. Interesting regarding recruitment around the 4 minute 20 mark where he mentions we’ve got a couple of players coming, one being JFH and then goes on to say a few. Interesting too when speaking about the young guys given a crack this year that he says they’re ready.

Interesting too listening to CNK around the 5 minute 30 mark where he talks about SJ, AFB and Jazz’s final game but also says others. Think we’ll see more players depart

No doubt, and kudos to the organisation for being innovative and ahead of the curve as far as connecting to their fan base goes.

However that momentum was built on the success of the on field performances of last year. The sell out crowds were largely based off that and the early season promise of this year. Games were sold out months before the actual date, and as the season went on and our hopes dwindled i thought it was noticeable (despite the sold out sign) the amount of empty seats that were visible and even on here people trying to sell their tickets.

The casual fan is fickle, the quickest way for that connection to dissipate wont be how many bright shiny things we can put in front of them...... it'll be another under performing season like this year.....main focus always has to be on performance......everything else will follow off that with the good people we have behind the scenes.

The reality for the club to see continued sold out games both the off field and on field have to line up. When games were selling out towards the end of 2002 it wasn't because of the cheerleaders at halftime. It was because the team were playing a really entertaining style of footy and they were winning. The seasons before that in 1999-2001 my group of mates often had a whole bay to ourselves in the South Stand.

Creating a party atmosphere, dimming the lights during run on, having the DJ, the island drummers, half time entertainment, junior mods playing before the game etc are all great but they are secondary to the teams performance. That is the one part of the business that no one can predict. A couple more seasons like this one and a rock concert at halftime wont save you. And anyway, the greatest off field thing at any game for anyone who has ever experienced it is getting to sing the team song. That only happens when we win...

Think this is massive privilege that the team has invited the fans to celebrate a victory in what’s often a personal celebration for the team in the dressing room. I’m sure they probably do it again, but it must be really something for Kiwi players playing in an Aussie team to experience even when playing here. The massive connection in the crowd all buzzing over a victory

Even though results been awful this year, as someone who held both Warriors and Blues memberships in the past, im always looking forward to going to Mt Smart games. Just different vibes and matchday experience is totally different.

Will be interesting to see which players do leave, could be a sign with guys like Montoya startig to do podcays lol
